I'm undergrowing my current jeans, so I bought another pair on eBay. But this time, I decided to go two sizes down to try to save my wallet, which was a leap of faith, as my measurements weren't quite there. I got them and tried them on today, and they're tight, but presentable. That's huge, as I haven't lost a pound in over a month. I'm still losing inches, and the jeans will keep getting more comfortable in the next few weeks.

We went to the circus and someone took a photo of us; I don't even look fat in the photo(even though I was sitting and it was an awkward angle) just plump, healthy and tan! As I've said before here, I avoid cameras like they're a reanimated corpse, so nice to think I may start a collection of family photos I'm in that I actually feel good about

This Monday I had my second surgery in six months, and my brother is staying with me to help take care of me and my dog. He has a huge sweet tooth: I keep regular sugar and Nestlé Quik and a few other things in my cupboards for him when he's here (he lives across the country). It's funny, I know I see those things in my cupboards on a regular basis, but they don't register as viable food to me.

So anyway, I came through Monday's surgery still in ketosis and still on plan. I retained a bit of eater from the IV, but that was gone within two days. My comfort food when I'm sick is wonton soup, but I just had broth instead and then egg drop soup that my brother made. Now I'm back to normal foods and doing what I need to do. I'm proud of that.

I stopped eating nuts, including peanut butter, seeds and dairy on September 4, and now eat very small amounts of Hellmans mayo, and I dont eat anything before bed.
peanut butter was a huge thing for me to stop. just the convenience of it for one thing, but it became a binge trigger for me, like all of the rest of the above foods i listed.
Now i keep an avocado and coconut oil on the counter. its just as easy to wash slice up and eat as anything, spoonful of coconut oil with a slice..... i never thought i could do it. this is a huge accomplishment.
The way i feel now is great. I have energy, Im happier and also can think clearly.

It's not much, but I'm proud of myself for actually getting off of my butt and being active again. Yesterday, I hiked/walked (not much elevation gain, so I hesitate saying "hiked") 3.25 miles on top of playing DDR for 30+ minutes. That's better than wallowing on the couch all day. Granted, I did wallow a bit, as it was my day off, but I think said wallowing is justified when you collapse into bed at the end of the day from all the activity!
