Great job everyone. I went off plan for 6 days about a week ago and as you can imagine, i gained back 6 of the 16lbs i had struggled to loose. I got back on plan on wednesday and im happy to have lost some of the bloat, and as of this morning i am back in ketosis.

On other diets this has spelt the end of getting healthy for me, but this time i came back and im really proud of myself for that. I guess i must be really commited this time around. KUTGW to all you wonderful people.

i got my lc mojo back on 8/14/13

and i never looked back. i think the metformin is helping with appetite control, and if so, i am happy about that. but, even when it stops doing that, i have enough "mechanisms" (behavioral, that is)to guarantee that i will not backslide. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

I am proud that I have adopted low carb as a true lifestyle change this time. I am proud that I have retrained my brain to make better choices, and learned to prepare wonderful and satisfying new dishes. I am proud that I have successful managed my cysts and mood issues as well as body pain without medication and am able to sleep without an aid for the first time since forever! Also for me, a lifelong excersize phobic incorporating activity into my daily routine is a huge step. I truly have zero desire to go back to the pain ridden hormonal fluffy mess I was before I adopted this change and the sizes I've lost (2) and lbs (15-20) are just icing on the cake

I am finally able to get into a pair of jeans I bought a few years ago when I was smaller. They are too tight to wear out, but I can zip them up. I probably only need to lose a few more pounds to start wearing them again. This makes me happy.

Proud that I'm trying again and not giving up. Proud that I didn't go face first into ice cream during TOM. Proud that I made a plan for the month and am sticking to it.

I'm super proud of myself for surviving five full days of my Atkins re-induction . . . without coffee!! Double bonus. I have lost 5 pounds.

I have tried a few times (half-heartedly) to get back on LC since having my kids. Never lasted more than a day or two. But this time, I can feel it, my head is in the right place, and I'm ready to get back into my size 8/10's!!

I'm feeling great (despite the Induction flu) and remembering all the reasons why I was so happy when I did this last time.

Kudos to all of you for your proud moments. If we celebrate the little victories, we are sure to get to enjoy the BIG ONE!!

I'm proud that I am really, really doing this.

I knew I was doing it for months and months and months but I really could not see it even though the numbers said I was. I kept plugging away & believing.

Then, slowly, I started seeing a few changes. And, now, all of a sudden (after months and months ) I look very different! I made it through the hard part & the fun has begun. I've still got a long way to go but now I can see the changes in the mirror. Wow, that sure helps! And it is just going to keep getting better. I am so excited!

There are no maybes, no ifs, ands, or buts. I am doing this.

Look out world!

I am proud of my new attitude. When I LC'd successfully last time: I let greed, panic and impatience derail me.

This time the focus is on changing my body from the inside working outward. Even though last time I ate LC foods, I ate stuff that my body hated and it slowed my progress. This time I'm eating the stuff that my body likes and that will make me healthier. Weightloss will be the side effect.

I have also cleaned out my closet. I threw away all the unflattering clothes that I had. Even though I am whale sized there is no reason to be a dowdy frumpy whale. I kept the clothes that make me look good.

I had two friends over to watch a movie this weekend, and served popcorn. Actually, it was kettle corn. Popcorn and movies go together like nothing else, IMO; but I served it, drank my water, and enjoyed the movie. I had some chipotle cheese nibblers ( bits of real cheddar cheese seasoned with chipotle pepper, which I recommend) in the fridge, but I wasn't hungry, so I didn't even bother. There was some leftover when they left, and I didn't take a kernel. I dumped it all in the trash. I was proud of that one.

I restarted January 3rd, I'm still dealing with the sinus infection I mentioned early in this thread, have lost track of the number of rounds of antibiotics I've been on, had surgery, daily IV antibiotics, and am now back on oral antiobiotics while I wait for a second surgery, and I'm having more MS symptoms because I can't get my most important medication because of the infection, and I still haven't eaten off plan. I'm proud of that one too.

I am proud that I can finally go to a social function and not be swayed to eat and drink things that I cannot have. A "No thank you, I am fine" means just that. No thank you.

I am so proud of myself for sticking to this WOE.... I tried on a pair of 11 hollister jeans on my 7 week mark and I started to tear up I was so happy! I went from a size 15 to a size 11/12 depending on the brand in 7 weeks! Thats makes me wonder what I can achieve in the future! This may be weird but I am also proud that my hair and nails are growing better and faster.. I have no idea if this has anything to do with eating low carb... but I LOVE it!

I am proud that I no longer have an "all of nothing" attitude. If I eat off plan, it is never liscense to quit or go on a carb binge. This way I have maintained my loss within 5 pounds since the beginning of the year when I hit goal. The few times I have gone a bit over this, I have buckeled down and got back on plan immediately to be back in my range.

I am also proud that I faithfully cook low carb food and have almost nothing high carb in my house.

Today I'm proud of the fact that I didn't stop by Sonic for a flavored tea.
This is an effort to stop a habit that is harmful to weightloss. My body hates the flavorings and I never failed to gain water after drinking one. So I white knuckled it home if I can't break habits like these I'll go a long way to changing my life.

1) Learning to be philosophical about it when I magically gain 2 pounds overnight. I can usually trace it to a food choice - a meal that was extra high in salt, for example, and I can now not stress over it, knowing its water weight, and it will be gone in a couple of days, since it's very difficult to gain 2 pounds of fat overnight!

2) Not a single sugar or white carb cheat since I started this WOE the last week of July, 2013. I have snuck in the occasional carrot, but I can live with that, and it does not affect me.

I am proud that it has been a month of losing with no cheats and that is not like me. 2 weeks on the cabbage soup diet and 2 weeks of Atkins. I feel like I am ready to do this and I am determined to make this a way of life for me.
