What a milestone!

I feel like my birthday came a day early!

I was at the store earlier today, buying myself what I thought would be a new pair of "goal" jeans... or in other words, jeans that would be my inspiration to fit into over the next month or two. I've been wearing my size 8's (which were my smallest pairs I've ever owned and really NEVER fit me back in the day) so I figured I'd just try on the 6's in the dressing room to see how far they'd zip up.

They fit!

So... I guess I'm a size 6 now, and I'll need a size 4 for those "goal" jeans! Funny thing is my favorite brand of jeans don't even MAKE sizes below 6 for some reason, so it looks like I'll have to go to Old Navy soon and see what they have. This low carb thing is getting expensive, clothing-wise!

Also? Apparently I'm fitting into size small tops now out of the blue too! Only the ones that have some stretch to them though because of my chest, but even still... they wouldn't even go on before

So so so proud of myself (especially since I managed to go to the movies earlier and ordered NOTHING for the first time ever!) and what a great early birthday gift to myself that was, buying a couple new outfits. I'm now down from a size 14 or so jeans-wise at my largest to a size 6, and down from a size large shirts-wise to a small in some varieties and mediums in others.

I just wanted to share my excitement with everyone!

Has anyone else reached a milestone lately? I'd love it if anyone would like to share

I do have a bit to go still, but just seeing where I used to be and how far I've come... I feel like I can finally appreciate my journey and my efforts instead of just seeing every little thing I could be doing better!

Here's a before and after pic, for anyone who might be curious... I probably should have put on some makeup and fixed my hair before I took the picture tonight, but I didn't care! I was in a dressing room and I was too happy to remember any of that!

Aww thank you very much Ntombi, that means a lot!

I always felt like my figure left a lot to be desired... my mom was lucky and was 5'9" while I seem to have taken after my dad and turned out shorter. I always felt like I carried my weight weird, especially due to my PCOS and everything. I'm feeling confident for the first time in a really long time though, so I really appreciate the compliment! And the birthday wishes!!

Congratulations!! I have seen your pictures and it's like a whole new person stepped out from inside the old one!!! And yes, you really have a nice figure. I have started my program less than a month ago, but already feel my clothes looser, it's such a great feeling and the best encourangement, in my opinion, that one can get. Oh, to be able to buy what you like and NOT the only thing you can find that fits you...Enjoy the shopping and hope you reach your goal soon xx

Congratulations on such a MAJOR milestone! Size 14 to size 6 is amazing progress and you look totally different. Personally, I think you look beautiful in both pictures but you look much happier in the after photo!

Congrats on your success. If I'm reading this right, you wear a size 6 and weight 160lbs? Muscle does weigh more than fat.

Yep, I'm 5'6"-ish and I'm 160 pounds in a size 6. I do have a rather large chest though, and you're right... lots of muscle in my legs mostly

No one believes I'm 160 pounds anymore actually, they think I'm much less. Which hey, I'm not going to argue with them if they want to think that!

Thank you so much everyone, for the wonderful encouragement and compliments! I've been lurking on here for so long watching all of your wonderful progress and transformations and I only recently got brave enough to finally sign up and start posting here myself. I'm so glad that I did, because I absolutely LOVE this community... it's such a great atmosphere, and it helps SO much to be surrounded by such supportive, like minded people

I wanted to add, the before picture was me at my heaviest... so that's not all from 6 weeks

(if it was, I might be looking for a tape worm somewhere! LOL) My start weight for this current WOE was right around 180, maybe a pound over that... and I began this part of my journey on January 25th. So it's been about 20 pounds in 6 weeks, but that's been with no exercise at all so I'm definitely happy with it. Especially since I'm hypothyroid AND have PCOS... so it's always been difficult for me to lose at all!

I can't wait until it's nicer out and I can add some exercise into my plan... I need to tone a bit for sure, and hey... cardio is good for you, I know!

But really, thank you so much for all your kind words and encouragement... it's meant so much to me, and I'm so glad to have met you all by joining this community!!
