The trials and tribulations of losing weight and being female...

Since started I've lost 1.5 inches off my chest (where bra band sits) and 0 inches off my bust.

This wouldn't be a big deal except it is very close to pushing me down to the next smaller band size while upping the cup size and I'm already really freaking hard to fit. On top of that, I JUST bought 3 new bras and they just don't make inexpensive bras in my size.

I'm actually thinking about a breast reduction just to end this ridiculousness.

I have taken in the band of the bra successfully many times. not that hard, just by hand. good luck.

I get the grass is always greener thing but big boobs are overrated! Bra shopping is almost as stressful as bathing suit shopping! I went to a professional (think Double Divas) and the darn things still don't fit right! :stars:

I have unfortunately gone from a B cup to a solid size A cup  On the other hand, my butt has gone from a size 14 jean to a size 6, so the tradeoff is worth it I think :D

I can sympathize! I used to be a 48J....lost 130 pounds and am in a 34K....I'm waiting for insurance approval for a breast reduction right now. I get my bras from Linda's Online...their bra calculator on line seems to be pretty accurate for me.

Yep I am there with y'all...lost everywhere but the cup size...my husband doesn't seem to mind...but I think they just get in the way...I have, as Raven suggested above, made the band smaller until ready to buy new...it's not hard and you can't tell if you are careful.

Great trade off!!:hyst: and you get to wear skinny jeans and cute tops! I want to be you!

I am a DD now and haven't gone down a cup size since losing, but I've been dreading it bc I assume they'll just get longer, which is not a good descriptor for breasts at all. I've never considered that I might go down only in band size and not cup size. I think that'd be great. But I guess I'm starting out at a fairly normal size to begin with. Though, I would have said when I was 120 pounds and a B cup that it sounded ginormous.

I'm glad I'm not alone!

Thanks for the tip! I definitely feel your pain. I'm a 34G on the verge of dropping to a 32H. The crazy part is that just five years (and only 20lbs) ago I was a 34D.

Yup, that's my issue. Even as I got smaller my general ratio stayed the same, so my band and breasts shrunk but proportionally to one another. It is actually HARDER to find a good bra now (I use Ewa Michalak, the cuts are phenomenal especially for the price) since most of what is available in 32J is not the right shape for my body from Linda's. That used to be one of my favorite retailers, though :)

I thought about getting a reduction but honestly my breasts are very proportional for my body, it's only trying to deal with the clothing industry that makes me feel like a freak!
