'sweet' tea with erythritol... bad idea?

I made a half gallon of sweet tea yesterdayexperimenting with erythritol and liquid stevia to sweeten it and it's fanfreakingtastic. My husband keeps doing drive by sips of it and he hates anything but sugar. I've had almost a quart today. :o

Is this a bad idea? I know erythritol is fine but is there an upper limit to daily consumption?

Amazing idea.... I don't seem to have tummy troubles with this so maybe it will work out for me also.. I seem to use most of my daily carbs on my drinks. I only have Splenda in house for now and it is .5 gr for a teaspoon. NO ONE in my house will do LC with me so anything I make will be mine. ha.

I think it's a fine idea, myself! I do a 2 quart pitcher of iced jamaica with stevia (NuNaturals NuStevia) and drink it a LOT during the summer, without problems.

I like Erythritol too. the NuStevia No Carbs blend is stevia and erythritol. It's pretty concentrated so it's just easier for me to use that than granulated or powdered erythritol on its own.

I always drink my iced tea with liquid stevia. I experience no problems from it.

I have had my tea with the same combo of sweeteners from the get go...The sweeteners you are using have no fillers so the carb count is lower and the combination of sweeteners always makes things taste more like a true sugar taste.
Your husband can tolerate it because you are using sweeteners with no fillers like malto dextrine...those sweeteners that do contain more carbs and have that funny diet aftertaste.
Erythritol, liquid splenda(ezsweetz), and stevia are my go to sweeteners for everything.
Just be careful that they don't trigger cravings for you or make you want to eat something...this is a sign that a sweetener is triggering cravings.

Yes it is! I get the jamaica (pronounced "huh-MY-kuh") at the local Mexican grocery, hence that's what I always call it! :)
