Ketone Test STrips

I was wondering about these strips. If they are for a diabetic to use to test their sugar spilling over into urine then how does that work when I pee on it and the color comes back moderate? Does that mean I too have sugar or is it all just about ketones/lyposis?

Thanks in advance,

It's not for testing glucose, that's what the blood tests are for. It's to test for ketones. When Type I diabetics go into a condition called ketoacidosis (very dangerous for them, not an issue for the rest of us), they have a huge number of ketones built up in their blood, and in their urine. When they use the ketostix and test large, they know it's an emergency.

When we use the sticks, we're testing that we're in ketosis (NOT KETOACIDOSIS) by looking for any level of positive result. We're using one measuring stick to test for two very different things.
