Im at the Dairy Queen :(
Be impressed, I sure am! The old man and kids are ordering ice cream and I'm just sitting here drooling all over myself. I can do it...I don't need it...I can do it!!

Along with the movie theater and coffee shop, those are pretty much the places where there is literally nothing to eat. My sympathies!

I try to get coffee with cream or half and half in settings like that. I hope you managed to avoid temptation.

If you do a search for the ingredients of their "ice cream" you'd barf. iIt would also get you all riled up over the claim of their product being ice cream.
Truth in advertising isn't so truthful any more (if it ever was). From a past turtles blizzard addict. ![]() Soft serve's ingredients are corn syrup, whey, monoglycerides and diglycerides (emulsifiers), artificial flavors, guar gum, calcium sulfate, cellulose gum, polysorbates 65 and 80 (emulsifiers), carrageenan, magnesium hydroxide and air pumped into the mixture as it crystallizes. Nutrients A single, 1-cup (188 g) serving of Dairy Queen vanilla soft serve ice cream is estimated to contain 280 calories and approximately 9 g of fat, 30 mg of cholesterol, 140 mg of sodium, 44 g of total carbohydrates and 6 g of protein. It also provides 30 percent of the recommended daily allowance of calcium, 20 percent of the recommended daily allowance of vitamin A, and 8 percent of the recommended daily allowance of iron. Benefits Soft serve ice cream contains less milk fat than traditional ice cream---usually 3 to 6 percent milk fat in soft serve as compared to 10 to 18 percent milk fat in ice cream. It also contains a lot more air. Last edited by 1sweettea1; 02-23-2013 at 05:18 AM.. |

Good going!!
![]() Thankfully my local DQ doesn't open until May 1st and they don't serve burgers and that kind of food either, only ice-cream and slushes. But I drive by a Coldstone daily that's always calling my name! |

when u get home...
make yourself a lc egg cream or lc ice cream soda. Reward yourself for your discipline, but do not trust to willpower all the time. Perhaps, next time u go to DQ, they can make u a special lc treat. Just tell them u are diabetic. They are in business to stay in business. Take it from this greedy troll. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

Wow. I had no idea that there were DQs that didn't serve burgers and stuff.
Frankly, several years ago now, I got kinda hooked on those dang Chocolate Extreme blizzards. |
