someone recommended Sara Lee Bread...ummm
I was at the store today. I took a look at the Sara Lee bread 45 cal and delightful brand. I just wanted to say that although it does have a lower carb count, it has high fructose corn syrup in it.
What I did find, was Weight Watchers whole wheat bread. No high fructose corn syrup and only 10 grams of carbs per 2(yes TWO)slices. It has 16grams of carbs, 6 grams of fiber, which equals a net carb of 10. Just thought I would put the word out. |

Thanks! I always have a loaf of the Sarah Lee in the freezer. I rarely eat it but its nice to have on hand should DH or DS want toast or a sandwich. Ill look for the WW bread next time Im in the bread aisle.

You know, I never used to read food labels. And my Dr. told me the worse thing for you is HFCS. I can't believe how many products sneak this in. I read every ingredient now. My husband goes crazy sometimes because it takes me a few hours to shop now!

Refined oils like soybean are mostly omega-6 fat--the body is not well equipped to burn large amounts so it ends up in storage (<10g/day is a probably a good guideline).
