Cream Cheese
Seems high in carbs to me. does your brand count 2 grams for 2T? I checked the ingredients and it is pretty straightforward. I don't have a scale but wondering in cups or T-spoons, what 3oz of cream cheese measures out to be.
I have been guessing about 1/4 cup...meaning that if there is 4T in a cup, I'm counting 4 grams of carbs? |

3oz would be 6 tablespoons.
it's a brand thing, too, so check labels. Ex: Philly cream cheese has 1.8g carbs per oz (2T) but Kroger brand cream cheese only has 1g carbs per oz. So definitely check labels |

I go with weight as it is much easier to be accurate and yes, I have found that the carb count varies between brands even when the ingredient list looks identical.

I find that for as much as I eat at a time (usually 1 oz.), the carbs aren't too high for me. I record it, but don't worry too much about it.

I'm not sure I really trust those labels. For example my store cares two brands of unsweetened almond milk. One says it has 1 carb per serving the other says 0, so I was buying the brand that said it had 0. I started having serious problems with almond milk. So I cut it out. I think if you are really sensitive to carbs I would go with the higher estimate and count it.

Labels are allowed to say 0g if there are 0.49g or fewer. They can say <1g if there are 0.9g or fewer.
If there's an item that I know could have carbs, and is listed as 0g, I count is as 0.5g per serving. |
