Need Encouragement

Hi All - I have been doing Atkins since September and initially started out tremendously well. The last four weeks however the scale hasn't budged. I tried upping my fat intake and a few other things that I have seen posted here. I am just wondering from any of you success stories did you too have a stall midway through your journey. I am about half way to my ultimate goal. I usually don't let it bother me but today it just has me bummed. I am looking for hope that this too shall pass.

I can't so much provide encouragement as I can keep you company. I've been stalled for over 2 months now - 10 pounds from goal. I'm frustrated too!
Thankfully I enjoy eating this way so I'll just keep on going and hope that for me, slightly higher fat and lower protein do the trick for me.

I haven't lost squat really but I did just read about "those last few pounts" - (if I ever get there - I'll be elated). Have you tried intermittent fasting? I just got an ebook about it and I'd be happy to share it if anyone would like to check it out.

What's your menu like?

My weight loss usually slowed down when I was eating too much for my weight. When you're losing it can take some time for your head to catch up with what your portions should be like now that you are smaller.

Hang in there and don't give up.

I stalled for almost 3 months! Very frustrating But I stuck in there! I had to do like nolcjunk I had to stop eatting so much food. I was sticking LC But was eatting way to much and my weight finally started going down again.

Changes I make when I hit a wall, I try to be more concious of what I am doing and make sure that I:

1. DO not eat/drink after 7pm
2. try to do some type of walking/moving 25 minutes/3x/week
3. cut out cheese and over the counter LC products
4. make certain I hit 80 oz of water every day.

Your mileage may vary, but I hope some of these things may help you!

Hang in there and don't give up! Just because the scale is not moving does not mean your body is not making some small changes. I have not budged on the scale in a while, however, I had noticed my clothes are getting loose yet again, and I can tell I have lost more weight in my face and the comments are flowing again, yet I have not lost any weight in about 3 weeks. I guess my body is catching up to my loss. Good luck to you!

I just want to encourage you to keep going.

I only lost weight every 6 to 8 weeks. Week 1-5= no loss. Week 6 I'd lose 5-7 pounds, then no more loss for another 6 weeks. It went this way for the entire 30 pounds I needed to lose. At first I was very frustrated. I started graphing my weight DAILY on a line graph. It helped me find the patteren and know that in Week Six I was going to see a nice loss.

YOU CAN DO THIS! Just keep going. Hope that helps.

you may want to try the old switcheroo for 3 or 4 days.

eat a plan full of veggies, salad, and considerably lower fat.(smaller portions of critter and w/o skin)we can all do anything for just for a few days. this is not an opportunity to visit THOSE aisles in the supermarket(u know which we mean). then after 3 or 4 days, go back to Induction, and gradually inch your way up the good quality carb pole to a level that u can lose, but not be frustrated bored or deprived.
