I can tell I've lost weight because....
My office chair fits better.
![]() You know how office chairs are "bouncy" and so you can adjust them up and down...but when you sit down they still sit a little lower? Well I have lost enough weight that my chair is higher than it used to be. What a weird way to tell that I've lost weight! Anyone else have an odd or funny way to tell they've lost weight? |

Great topic!
About 5 years ago I bought a cheapy office chair at Wal-Mart. One of those $40 dollar ones with arms. I got it home, put it together, plopped down in it. It was too small lol. I was cramped because of the arms. I gave it to a family member (who did not use it either as it turns out). At the time I just figured it was one of those things where the mfg cut costs by making it smaller. Like coffee cans quietly going from 16oz to 14oz. Fast forward to late in 2011 after I'd dropped about 60 pounds. My big office chair finally gave up the ghost. But that chair from 5 years ago was still sitting around unused so I got it back. Wow. I have been sitting in it comfortably ever since. |

I noticed the other day that I am gliding smoothly in and out of the driver's seat of my car now. I had been struggling before, having to move the seat back and leveraging myself out and basically feeling very clumsy. It's amazing how much easier life is when you're not carrying a 50 pound monkey on your back everywhere.

My wedding ring is too loose now! I had to put it in my jewelry box for now and will get it resized once I get close to goal.

I have velcro on my towel to keep it closed while I'm getting ready in the morning - this weekend I had to add more velcro because it's gotten so loose that when I stood up, it fell down.

I've lost 18 pounds, a few pounds prior to starting LC, and I've noticed that my wedding ring is loose. The weirdest thing though is my high-heeled ankle boots. They used to fit snuggly in the ankle area and were quite supportive, now they are loose and feel kind of dangerous to walk in. My measurements (bust, waist, hips) have not changed AT ALL yet my fingers, wrist and ankles are definately smaller!

Some things you expect: smaller belts and shirts and whatnot. But I always thought my wrists were bony and devoid of visible fat, so I never dreamed I'd be removing FIVE link segments from my watch band, one by one. Decreasing HAT size was a real head-scratcher too...

1. As others have mentioned, the bath towel wraps.
2. Shaving is much easier (less square footage to cover). 3. Clothes, jewelry, shoes getting loose. 4. My eyes look bigger. 5. DH and I 'fit' better. ![]() 6. I suddenly feel three inches taller because when I reach for something on the top shelf of the kitchen and have to lean up against the counter, my belly isn't keeping me pushEd too far back! Now I can reach up and grab. 7. People who haven't seen me in a while really seemed shocked and go on and on about how different I look.

My son can sit next to me in my chair and we both fit.
I can sit in booths at restaurants. If I'm eating and drp something, the napkin in my lap is actually useful. Not just my boob-shelf or gut getting food on it! |

Now when I'm standing up straight and then look down I can see my feet. I no longer have to been forward to see if my shoe lace has come untied. Some times the simple pleasures carry the best rewards.

wedding ring getting smaller was definetly true for me.
But my favorite was when I saw the hint of a rib for the first time in over 15 years |
