Alcohol ? Lesser of all evils...
I have not had a drink since dec 28 when I started the woe. I am going on vacation the end of the week and plan on indulging in a few drinks
Which is the lesser of the evils - Michelob Ultra Red wine flavored vodka and club |

I'd go with the wine.
Beer is very high glycemic index. Distilled liquors like vodka are okay but some flavored ones have sugar and some don't. |

no beer!
wine is ok but it's about 125 calories for a decent glass while vodka is about 70 for a shot. so if only having one glass, wine is ok. If having many drinks, you get to enjoy more for less damage with hard liquor but absolutely zero calorie mixers like club, diet tonic, diet ginger ale and so on. and yes, be careful with flavored vodka some of them contain sugar. Have a great vacation! |

Oh... and be aware that your alcohol tolerance will likely be pretty low as long as you eat lc... the alcohol is burned first and that buzz can sneak up on you with a quickness

That's a great reason to abstain for long periods....when you do drink it doesn't take much to buzz!

I don't drink all that much at the moment but I did recently go to Las Vegas and drank way too many vodka and sodas. I stayed on the plan and didn't gain any weight.
I've found that alcohol will stall losses, though, for at least a couple of days, sometimes more. It's a matter of priorities. If the fun is important then be aware that your weight loss will probably slow. Sometimes it's worth it. ![]() |

beer is more problematic even when the carbs are low. I forget the exact science of it, but I was convinced.
of the others, the best is something you will NOT drink fast and not drink more than one of! perhaps something you don't like all that much. champagne is good for that. sounds divine and never lives up to it, even the very expensive kinds! |

Any of the 3 should be okay in moderation. Michelob Ultra will have the lowest alcohol content obviously.

Ultras
Watch out for the "ultras". Some of them are "low" carb, but it's more in comparison to the normal version of that kind. For example, I was super excited to find Mic Ultra Cider. Then, after I got home and cracked on open, it was 10 carbs!!! To me, that's not low carb enough :/. But a friend pointed out, that compared to other ciders, it probably is. Boo! Needless to say, I sent them all home with her when she left.

I just drink whatever I want drink because my alcohol tolerance is WAY lower when I'm low carbing. It doesn't really matter what you drink cause you don't even have to drink that much of it to get a buzz. Usually one drink does it for me!

My other option is to use flavored seltzer with plain vodka. Choices, choices! |

When I drink I drink Ultra (plain) did not know they had cider like someone mentioned. It does not effect me, however I am only drinking a few with the hubs.
