Snow storm...
Anyone else think of comfort food when snowed in?? On the news this afternoon they said in addition to bread and milk, bacon and ice cream where top sellers when a storm moves in.
LC options this time around include a nice juicy burger with cheese, mushrooms and onions. |

a nice pot of soup
some oopsies or revolution rolls for sandwiches/burgers something chocolate, like clouds w/cocoa in them, or a cocoa flax muffin hot drinks a crunchy thing like cheesy crackers or fried pepperoni. Actually, the clouds are too addictive to get snowed in with. Maybe a chocolate protein powder shake made with cream and almond milk. |

I always make stuff that I can eat without heating if the power goes out... I had muffins, shrimp, chicken salad, spinach salad and filled the thermos with coffee before bed. I could cook on the grill or the camp stove, if I wanted, but it was windy and miserable out there and I didn't want to!
I shoveled snow for 4 hours straight yesterday. Now we have another 2-4 inches coming and freezing rain right behind it. I was down a lb. today from all that shoveling though. |
