Start Date: Restart 23/8/14
6 month update :)

I started eating low carb six months ago. In that time I've gone from weighing 120kg (265 pounds) to 90kg (198 pounds). I've also gone from a 44 inch waist to 34 inches. There's been a handful of times where I've gone off plan for 1-2 days, but I've always got back on. I am certain that I will be down at goal within the year, and look forward to maintaining for the rest of my life
I was borderline pre-diabetic, and am so thrilled to have discovered the right way of eating for me to live a healthier life.
I'll post photos later if I can, I'm at work at the moment.

Great job.... could you give those of us who are having a hard time getting back on a design of your day/menu!!! Do you work out?? Will be looking forward to pictures....

Great job, Manda. And great for your health, too. Congratulations on entering the group of people who are NOT at elevated risk for cardio vascular disease, based on waist measurement (under 35 inches for women is lower risk). I look forward to admiring your pictures.

Wow! We have very similar stats. I started out at 267 and got down to 198 in 5.5 months before falling on the wagon more than half way to my intended goal. I've been battling the same 15-20 pounds for the last year but I am proud to say that I have been able to keep most of it off and realize when it's getting out of hand. Please don't give up like I did!

Hi, my menu is pretty varied as I do my own programme kind of. I'm very lucky as I've been able to lose eating up to 80g of carbs some days. I just try to keep it under 40g, no sugar no wheat. I feel like I'm succeeding just because I no longer label any poor choices as failing, IYKWIM. I don't ever beat myself up, just carry on trying. Some of the things I eat daily are eggs, nuts (I know most people can't eat a ton of these) cheese, meat and vegies. I've been eating a ton of cauliflower with cheese melted on it, YUM I've just in the last two weeks started running/walking. I want to work up to a half marathon in October. I've been planning to get in shape and run that particular half marathon for half my life! This year, I'm actually going to do it.
