Great meal last night!!
Hurray, we all just LOVED Coney Island chili dog pie!
I can't say enough how important new recipes are for this way of eating. I tripled the recipe and our family of five had it for two dinners! I added extra mustard and hot dogs. Funny...I was driving my 14 and 16 year old home from school and I said to them; Hey girls we're having that casserole for dinner tonight, so don't eat it right after school. You should have heard the grumbling!! LOL!! My 14 year old said "Ive been looking forward to that all day!!! I don't want to wait for dinner!! ![]()

That is one of my favorite recipes. I always freeze the leftovers for later. I actually have a slice thawing out for lunch right.
socaligirl714: You can find it if you Google Linda Sue Coney Island Chili Dog Pie. I don't know if we can post the link or not. |

We love this casserole!!! The whole family. Here is a thread in the recipe forum:
Give Linda Sue's CONEY ISLAND CHILI DOG PIE a try coney island chili dog pie and so many others in the recipe forum. I see we aren't the only ones who do like it. |

Oh thanks for posting the link, dawn!
I had another wonderful casserole tonight, believe its called Pammy's mexican chicken casserole...chicken at the bottom, add chilies, rotel, cream cheese, chilies, cheddar cheese...kids liked it more than the coney island casserole. I love Linda Sue! That woman should get paid! |

misti--the mayo cannot be detected. My kids are not thrilled with "unusual ingredients" (my kids are in age from 7 on up to 16) and they love this chili dog pie!!! The mayo just makes it creamy, not mayo-y. You cannot tell the mayo is there. My DD just asked last week when I made this "what is the topping made of". So there you have it, an 11 year old confirming that they could not tell what it was.
