Stalled
I have been doing Atkins Induction Phase I since 12/29/12 and have only lost 6 lbs. Well, it goes up and down a 1 - 1.5 lbs in days. So frustrated. I have not consumed more than 20g carbs in a day!!! What is up?

Are you still doing induction?
Imo I think i'd get rid of the LC products like the carbquick, syrup etc and eat more unprocessed foods like eggs, meats, veggies etc, on the crab do you know if it's 100% crab meat? The imitation is high in carbs. |

Calorie dense and a lot of fiber.
Keep in mind if you eat a high fiber food, you need to drink more fluids to "move it" through your system or it can cause you to retain water. Flax is easy to over-eat, so measure it out before you use it to make sure you're not getting more than you realize |

My preference is: SweetLeaf 100% Natural Stevia Sweetener Packets in packets and liquid.
I find it doesn't have the strong aftertaste if you use a little too much. Stevia is very personal though. I think some people are more sensitive to the licorice taste than others. |

Just a suggestion. I started to lose faster when I ditched the cheese. I only have cheese about 1 or 2 days a week now.
If you have access to crock pot and maybe a foreman grill, I recommend cooking up lots of meat at the beginning of the week. That really helps me. Keep posting and tweaking your menu and you will find something that works for you. Good luck! |

6 lbs in a month is great! You're losing at a perfectly good rate (1 lb a week is reasonable, and most people tend to lose slower than that).
Removing products, as the other posters suggested, may be a good idea. There's no need to remove cheese right now. It's a perfectly legal part of induction, and if you like cheese, it can be a huge help for sticking to induction. But keep the amount limited, as Atkins suggests. A simple, clean induction may be your best bet: 3 servings a day of protein (4 to 6 oz each); 3 oz a day of cheese; most of your carbs from veggies; some added fat but not excessive amounts. The Atkins website is clear--although most people on this board (me included) would suggest avoiding all the processed products. Last edited by tiva; 02-01-2013 at 09:58 AM.. |

One thing about stevia: It's in the ragweed family. If you have ragweed allergies, it *may* aggravate them, so use with caution until you make sure it won't bother you.

Yes, I think you are doing pretty well. 6 pds a month is good. Also, how tall are you? If you don't have a lot to lose, it says you only want to lose 23 more pounds, is that correct? You will lose a lot slower than someone with a lot of weight to lose. I think actually you are doing really well if you only have 23 pds to go. 6 pds a month is pretty good.
I think all the above are great suggestions, but if what I mentioned is correct, I think you are on target.

You have lost 6lbs in just over a month. That is technically very normal (1 to 2 lbs. per wk). A stall is 6 weeks with no lbs. or inches lost. Relax and keep with your eating plan.

I agree with the others... 6 lbs in a month is a GREAT success. I think we're all so influenced by magazine and TV ads that promise fast weight loss... X pounds in Y weeks! Hurry! Buy it now!
But even "just" one pound a week leads to over 50 pounds gone by this time next year! That's amazing loss, and at a normal rate that is more likely to allow you to keep the weight off. |

Just something to think about
1/3 teaspoon mayo? 1/4 teaspoon onion 1/8 cup broccoli Are you measuring everything or estimating? These seem like very small amounts, I know I couldn't get that precise on these |
