Makin a huge Netrition order with taxes, suggestions????

We are getting a nice size return this year and i would like to stock up on LC products and maybe try some new ones. Anyone have any suggestions on products you absolutely love?? i have a severe nut and coconut allergy, so anything else is fair game!! Thank You ahead of time!!!!!:yummy:

Dottie 01-31-2013 01:25 PM

If you use the search link, the put in "netrition" and use the "search titles only" option, then choose the "from any date" you'll get a TON of threads and ideas:)

MsWoods 01-31-2013 01:27 PM

The one thing I've never bought, but have seen popping up in recipes everywhere is Oat Fiber. I would get a couple bags of it. It's cheap anyways.

AddysMommy 01-31-2013 01:34 PM

Thank You Dottie! MsWoods is it LC?

MsWoods 01-31-2013 01:38 PM

Yes It's LC. Very LC. There is a really popular recipe for dumplings going around in the recipe forum right now by Buttoni. That's what I want the oat fiber for myself.

drjlocarb 01-31-2013 06:17 PM

Glucomannan!

Great for many things and it comes in a bag big enough to last years.

That would be the Konjac package.

drjlocarb 02-01-2013 05:14 AM

Yes, the Konjac.

MsWoods 02-01-2013 05:26 AM

I wish my glucc lasted years lol. I'm lucky if a bag last 6 months.

drjlocarb 02-01-2013 05:28 AM

Yes, but you are a Gluc nut. I was going to add you as a disclaimer.

Hahaha its just the most awesome product since sliced bread ;)

AddysMommy 02-01-2013 07:06 AM

it's a fiber also? Lol, I'm not new to LC but, I am so new to all these baking products. I haven't even figured out how to use my poly-d yet!!!

drjlocarb 02-01-2013 07:31 AM

Poly-d = http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/me...n-cookies.html

Have you checked your local grocery stores for the ketchup? My local Publix carries it.

ItsOverSugar 02-02-2013 06:09 AM

I wish I could find it locally. I just left meijer's and the only thing i could find was lower sugar ketchup. They use to carry the 1 carb but not anymore.

Sunny7 02-02-2013 07:51 AM

The Guys BBQ sauce is awesome, the regular and spicy and quite reasonable too--i just orderd 4 bottles this last Fall

I just realized Reduced Sugar and One Carb ketchup are the same thing. Duhhh!! LOL .. I don't know why I was thinking they're two different products. So now I can remove that from my Netrition list.

Avy 02-02-2013 09:51 AM

Glucommannan, oat fiber is a must for me, sugar free syrups if you can't get them locally, low carb pasta if you want to try it, low carb jams and spreads, pancake syrup, barbeque sauce, these are some of the things I order in Canada from a place we have here. I think I listed the things in order lol. I only buy online things I absolutely can't find locally, and I try and order big since the shipping is a flat rate.

I love the oat fiber and there's a great great recipe on this site for a flour you make with coconut flour, oat fiber and protein powder that I love for waffles, a dense cake, or even a bread.

Other low carb items I love:

Protein powder, coconut flour, almond flour, cocnut oil, coconut butter/manna... that's all I'm coming up with without going into the kitchen and opening the cupboards lol.

I really love the texture. I use a real egg instead of egg powder, and I switch up the sweetener by using a different flavour of torani's and different spices, cocoa, etc.

AddysMommy 02-03-2013 10:35 AM

Thank You Avy sounds wonderful except i have life threatening allergies to coconut and all nuts! lol the rest sounds great!!!

AddysMommy 02-03-2013 10:39 AM

is Bob's vital wheat gluten flour the same thing as vital wheat gluten?

Mistizoom 02-03-2013 04:45 PM

Here's a few things I have in my cart, haven't tried them yet;

oat fiber
Konjac glucomannan
Natural Calm, raspberry-lemon
Sensato erythritol powder
several no sugar-added barbeque sauces (I liked the Guy's brand but my 10 year old thought it was too spicy)
no sugar-added bread & butter chips (pickles)
stevita drink mix

Yes.

AddysMommy 02-03-2013 05:26 PM

Thank You! they have it at my local store, i didn't want to buy it if it was different.

mainemom 02-04-2013 06:56 AM

Hey, Addy: My favorite non-nut Netrition items are: Capella flavor drops (just flavor - you add whatever sweetener you want), great for smoothies, yogurt, coffee/drinks, baked goods, etc.; Quest bars, Ideal brown sugar blend (blend of xylitol and sugar. Does your allergy extend to soy? If not, I LOVE the individual chilies, Homestyle Fresh Chilis. They are SO good - can't tell them from chili made w/regular beans, though they're made w/soy beans. I espec like the beef, but chicken is good, too, and under $3 for a hearty portion, a not-unreasonable quick meal in a pinch. Oh, and I second the Guy's BBQ sauce recommendation.

lterry913 02-04-2013 07:24 AM

The chilis are great but not for induction...I agree with the erythritol and flavor drops suggestions...the kitchen table bakers jalapeno Parmesan crisps are also one of my staples...they have many flavors and they come in handy for nachos or dips...or to crumble on salads or with laughing cow cheese...yum

AddysMommy 02-04-2013 03:40 PM

Thank You all so much my , I've added many new things to my cart cant wait to try them all!!!!
