Cream in protein shakes on induction
Hi Everyone - I have been stalling a bit on Atkins induction for the last couple of weeks. I have been really enjoying my protein shakes in the morning with Almond milk, but the issue is that the almond milk and protein powder are both low in fat and calories, oh and also carbs.... I struggle with Eggs in the morning, and after choking two down today, realized I don't want eggs first thing! It occured to me that even a couple tablespoons of cream into my already good protein shakes, would add the fat I require to get thing going in the morning. Does anyone agree? or have any other suggestions? I'm 3 weeks in, but still trying to keep my carb count below 20g/day. Thanks!

How long do you feel satisfied after your protein shake? I usually add a couple of TBS of heavy cream to a shake, mostly because if I don't, I'm hungry within a couple of hours. If you feel satisfied without it for long enough, that might not be the answer for you.
Where are your carbs coming from during the day? What does your overall diet look like? But you said you've been on Atkins for three weeks, and stalled for two? Are you truly stalled, or just in that post-Induction pause? |

Heavy whipping cream is a great idea. Eat .5 oz of organic coconut oil.
Did you add the egg to the shake? I couldn't really tell there was an egg in the shakes I have made. |

One weird thing I tried recently that I might keep doing... I put an egg in my vanilla protein shake, along with a pinch of ground nutmeg and clove. Completely changed it.
