keto breath
HI FROM italy!! Reading all your wonderful stories, I'm trying to learn more possible about Atkins ( even buying the '72 book, if I can) but....I have a great fear (don't judge me "silly".... ) : I have a terrible fear of "keto breath" ...and its possible "social" consequences...please help me not to fear it, with your experiences and solutions..
thanks and sorry for my english.... mirtilla |
I use a few drops of peppermint or spearmint essential oil in my water bottle - since I drink water all day, it helps to keep the ketobreath at bay.
|
Carry sugar free gum and or breath strips...and carry a bottle of water or a sugar free beverage...I find the breath is worse if you get a dry mouth.
|
I keep mint water handy. Basically steep some dried mint in water, strain, chill, sip as needed. Sorry, I don't measure it

I think most people find it to be temporary. As the body settles on its new fuel mixture, there are fewer "waste" ketones to remove.
|
thanks for all tips, it's interesting that it could be temporary;my worst nightmare, about that, it's to be like one of my coworkers, who, unluckily, has often a bad "sweaty" smell....and all of us try to avoid him.......

It will be temporary....at least that is my experience also...but dry mouth can make you feel as if it is there all the time.
|
Thera-breath mouthwash. I don't know if you can get it in Italy, but it's available online. It really helped me with this.

I thought I wasn't going to get it this time. But today is Day 10 and I have Keto-breath big time. Bummers because I find sugarless gum stalls me. Part of the problem is that I don't know that I have it and therefore don't know when I need a breath strip. Every hour, on the hour? lol
