Carb cycling?

Does anyone know anything about this topic? I was reading about a carb cycling ketogenic diet the other day, where you have a carb refeed for two days and then the rest of the week is very low carb. The theory behind it is that on the two high carb days you refill your muscles with depleted glycogen so that you have energy and are able to workout the most out of your workouts, if you are exercising as well as trying to lose weight. The theory also states that it resets your hormone, leptin etc. So that you don't get stalls in weight loss and you can retain muscle while you are losing body fat. Sounds great, but I'm just curious what the pros and cons are to doing this. It seems like it would be hard on your body.
