Please refresh my memory
I remember from past attempts that following induction weight loss slows or stops few a bit. Can anyone tell me how long that bit of time usually lasts?
I'm 4 weeks in now and the scale hasn't moved in quite awhile. I am on levaquin and I am experiencing some fluid retention in my hands so I'm fairly certain that may have something to do with it. I just need a little reassurance that the scale will begin moving again. Patience is not my strong suit |

can you post a menu so we can see what your day is like? that helps to see if the food is unbalanced sometimes to keep the scale from moving.
plus you lost a good bit in 4 weeks. 15 lbs is great!! your body has to catch up with this loss and will slow. but check your inches. did you take measurements. are the pants getting loose? stick with the plan and that weight loss will start again. are you in OWL now? |

I think you'll have to ask your body about that one! Everyone's ability to retain water is really really different. However, on low carb, it is typical to lose 1lb fat per week after the first few weeks (during when you might lose more per week given the amount of fat you start with). Additional weight is typically water. Your body doesn't want to lose water, or fat. So it takes some convincing. Some people lose it much more readily, especially if they have not done low carb before and their body does not know what hit it. Drink lots of water

My calories and ratios are good. I am tracking them and using the same "formula" as last time. I guess I'm just trying to recall how long the "catch up" lasts. I remember the 3rd week was always minimal loss. I guess time will tell

Break out your tape measure -- it'll be more useful. And use the cm side, as when the units are smaller, you can detect changes more easily. |
