It's WEDNESDAY! What Are You Eating Today?
Morning all. Halfway through the week and this is only my second day in the office – can’t be bad!
I’ll be honest and say that for a couple of weeks at the beginning of the year I really wobbled and was eating too much. I put a few pounds back on but didn’t have the heart to change my stats. Well, after a full week of induction (or it will be a full week at midnight!) I am happy to report a new low on the scales as of this morning. I am now a total of 32 pounds down and I am back in the ‘zone’ and loving it! Breakfast: Atkins dark chocolate shake. Lunch: Tuna mayo with lettuce and gherkin. I might also pop to Starbucks at lunchtime for a large Americano with single cream and sugar free vanilla syrup. Dinner: Gammon steak with two fried eggs and a roasted tomato. Snacks: Peperami, babybel if needed. Plus at least two litres of water and a berocca.

Congrats, Amber - well done you!
Breakfast 2 pints black coffee, no sweeteners Lunch 2 fried duck eggs 6 fried button mushrooms 6 strips streaky bacon Snack Leftover Prawn Creole (only 5 prawns, it was small!) Dinner Hmm..I don't really know - I have a cauliflower, so might do cauli cheese, or I have a couple of venison steaks (planning on cooking them with a red wine and blackberry sauce), but pretty sure Dad will be too full from his lunchtime chicken pie to eat one. I also have some tiny scallops that Tescos subbed for the usual large scallops - might pan fry and throw those into a salad with some crumbled crispy bacon, although I think we're out of tomatoes (it's the day before food delivery). Also some one-day-out-of-date smoked salmon (it's smoked, so I don't believe the best before date) and some cream cheese. Pondering - won't starve, anyway!

Congratualations! I started on the induction on January 3rd and as of Tuesday I have a total of 10.4 pounds and counting. I stalled for three days when I drank the Atkins shakes and was eating an Atkins bar for a snack. It was too much I guess and jsut didnt work but that was part of learning what works for my body.
Menu: Breakfast-bratwurst sausage and HB egg Lunch-Chicken Salad with cucumber, tomatoes, onion-no dressing Snack-Pork Rinds Dinner-Not really hungry I had a late lunch so I might end up eating a dill pickle (love those) |
