Back...Again
Sigh...Here I am again! My doctor has threatened to put me on blood pressure medication unless I can get my weight and pressure down. So I'm back! I'm so excited about being back on this way of eating. So far, I'm down 9 pounds, and apart from that I have seen the following benefits:
I ran out of Tums at home just before starting on induction, and I haven't missed them at all! My first non-scale goal is just to be able to take off my wedding ring to have it cleaned. My fingers have swelled up so much over the past few months that I have not been able to get the ring off! I'm so happy to be back here. I've been lurking for the past week, I hope to post every now and then. |
Welcome back!!!!!:shake:
I can feel your excitement!! 9 pounds is fantastic!!!!!:jumpjoy: Good for you!! Just imagine how wonderful the next 9 will feel!!! |
please take the blood pressure meds as well. it is SO dangerous to have even borderline high blood pressure. *hug*

Welcome back!! You Can do this!!
|
Welcome and as stated above you could take the meds and have the doc adjust them every couple of months or so as you drop the weight. Eventually you may be off the drugs all together. No sense in taking chances until that point.

I'm not actually on the meds yet...she has just said that I have two choices: lose the weight and lower my bp, or go on meds. It's possible that I may lose the weight and still have to go on meds, but I'm hoping this will help.

Awesome, no drugs so far...I do hope succeed in staying of them and dropping the weight...I started this woe to lose weight for many reasons, one being because at higher weight I was getting higher BP readings also...maybe not clinically high but higher than MY norm...I can say I was able to lower my BP back down with the weight loss and I sincerely hope this happens for you.

Welcome and I am restarting myself.
