Another question for you all :-)
Hey guys as I recently posted I am sticking to induction and have already lost 1.6 pounds in 2 days. Anyways I have been reading many posts regarding Matrix Mint cookie protein. I would love to have a shake every morning. I was wondering if that has stalled any of you or if you still consistantly lose while drinking them?? Let me know!!

Hi Jordy272! Congrats on your success so far.
You are in induction - no? Protein powder is not likely a good idea at all at this time. Protein powder is what is known as insulinogenic, which means it tends to stimulate the release of insulin. This appears to not hamper some people with weight loss but others, find it to really cause a problem. So it is an individual difference. |

I would wait til the 2 week induction is up and then try...that is the only way you will know is by trying...if you stall you know that is the problem...I added a matrix shake every work morning when I took my supplements because I did not want to take them on an empty stomach...it did not stall me at all...I did add some hwc for fat to offset that insulin effect people talk about...I have had great luck but it is an individual thing....just remember it is a meal replacement if you add a lot to it because the calories add up. If you are drinking straight with water or sf almond milk it is quite low cal but also low fat and you an get that blood sugar spike.

Has never bothered me nor spiked insulin levels so you would need to try it and see how it works for you. You can do a search here on LCF for threads on Induction friendly protein owders.
