You need to supply more information. What symptoms are you having? How long have you been having them? Are you in pain? Are you nauseated? Are you just having appetite suppression? Do you think that you have developed an eating disorder like anorexia, or that low carb food just doesn't agree with you, or that you need to eat a somewhat higher carb level to feel well? Have you had a physical checkup recently? Do you have any health problems (such as diabetes) that you know about?

Back has been out for 3-4 weeks now so taking pain meds every 6 hours or so,Have a strange bump on my head that swells and gives me headaches, Going to DR. AGAIN tomorrow. But even with all that I have been eating up until last week. Living on chicken broth pretty much the past 2 days.

Just sending you hugs and hope you get it sorted out very quickly. Chicken broth is wonderful and you should keep it up. Let us know how you do at the doctors.

Try to not eat real sugar and sugary foods like fruit juice, since they depresses the immune system. Stay hydrated with water, herbal tea, seltzer, whatever sugar-free liquids appeal to you. I hope you feel better soon. Tell your doctor about your difficulty eating. Some painkillers and antibiotics are known to cause nausea in some people; there are a variety of types available, and maybe he could switch you to a different brand that doesn't make you feel sick to your stomach. I hope you make a full recovery soon. ![]() |

I have this happen on low carb and I hear it happens to others, as well. Probably has something to do with blood sugar being maintained by the liver and not having excess insulin. I don't really have any advice except to say to hang in there and you will eventually feel like eating. If you are eating fewer than 1,000 calories per day, you might want to add some kind of high fat shake or drink to get more calories in because even though you are not hungry, you do need calories.
