Ipad Apps

Hi everyone!

I just thought I would take a look at the low carb apps available on my ipad to see if there were any I might be interested in.

Well, being that I don't write down what I eat or track, those apps weren't of interest. The ones with recipes were very poorly rated. It pretty much left nothing except one Atkins app that had what to order at various restaurants and their respective carb counts. It's $3.99. I'm thinking of getting it, but don't we pretty much know at this point what to order at most restaurants, especially chains?

Even though it's only $3.99, I don't want to just throw it in the toilet!!!! Are there any apps you are really happy you bought that aren't trackers?

I follow a paleo blog called nom nom paleo that does a lot of low-carb recipes (as well as some involving sweet potatoes/fruit, but ultimately the decision to consume those types of food is dependent upon your version of low-carb eating). The blogger has her own iPad app that has lots of great photos and recipes. The photos are especially stunning. The app is 4.99 and has a lot to offer. You can also purchase additional recipe packs for 99 cents.

Check it out; I think it's worth it for the photography and step-by-step instructions

I just check the restaurant's site for the menu - and ingredients - & decide ahead of time what to get. I can't imagine needing or trusting an app for that.

I only add an app if it can do something I want or need and can't get without an app.
