I just turned 50 and have people tell me I look like I am in my early 40's, so I think my weight loss has made me look younger and I haven't extra wrinkles show up - yet at least LOL

I think weight loss makes people look younger up to a certain point, the "ideal personal weight" (for their frame/build). If they lose beyond that, I think they tend to look older. The trick is recognizing "the best weight" and when it is time to stop losing. When I lose below 140-145, people tell me I don't look good, unhealthy, drawn in the face. When I just lose down to 148-150, People start telling me to stop now. And I think I look younger/better.

In every case where someone's posted before and after pictures where their face is clearly visible AND they have significant lost, I find they look much younger in the "after" photos -- even if they're 5 years OLDER.
You will look better -- not worse. |

I worry about it and will even up my calories to try to keep from losing too quickly since I have heard it helps to lose more slowly.

I look younger. I even go to school with people in their early 20s and they all believe I am one of them. I had a 19 year old guy hitting on me about a month ago, thinking I was a year older than he was (I am in a class above him)! So no I don't think it necessarily ages you!

I think lo carb dieting is less aging, due to the adequate fat intake and the way fat is pulled from "storage" areas. People who are seriously low-fat dieters DO look older much of the time...IMNSHO. ;~)
