I broke again...

Hi again all.

I don't really know what to say, but I'm back and need your support again. I miss these boards, and know how invaluable they are. Especially when you are just starting out, or when you fall, or when like me life throws another spiked ball at you, and you catch it but it leaves you with a few scratches.
Without trying to give you a poor me bio, I'll just tell you that I lost another baby and I have now had my hysterectomy.

I'm at my heaviest, and lowest. But I'm trying again, and really need to get better, physically and mentally. And they both go hand in hand.

Hubby and I are going on our first holiday EVER in April/May 2013 so there is my motivation. I will count on you an immense amount, because you got me there before, and I know you will again.

Thanks for listening. I've missed you friends.

I'm so sorry to hear this news but do hope that you will be feeling in much better health once you are well healed from your hysterectomy.

Going on a vacation in a few months is a wonderful goal to keep in sight and such a fun way to motivate yourself to stay with it, even during the Holiday Season now. I know you will be very successful again! You're on your way!

Pat, I thank you..honestly. This is why I came back. I tried and failed to do this alone, and kind of didn't want to come back as I felt ashamed and sad that I fell again. But I remembered what you all do for me, and how you have all helped me before. Thank you.

Arctic, we have had 5 miscarriages. We lost twins last year, and then another baby last summer, and we miscarried for the final time this year. With the meds and the emotional eating I just ballooned. I'm back and I really won't fail this time. Its gonna be pretty tough going, but I'll walk it, and not run. I feel stronger...and more 'willing' if that makes sense? I don't know that time heals all, but I do know that we can heal ourselves with the love and support from others. We can't always do it alone, no matter how much we may want to or try to.

Your attitude is perfect, I agree completely. And five miscarriages would be terrible! I've had two, along with three live births and my current pregnancy, and that has been emotionally challenging. So many losses would probably drive me to emotional eating, too! After my last miscarriage in Oct 2011 I know I spent a week comfort eating and still don't feel guilty for it, I really needed a break from *everything* to process and grieve, and at that point it was the best response I could muster.

Oh sweetie i'm So sorry for your loss. As a mama who's lost a baby it's the hardest thing i've ever gone through, then a hysterectomy on top of it my heart hurts so much for you.

I've been through something VERY similar-and I can tell you have the right attitude. "One day at a time" has been the motto that has gotten me thru some very dark days...

funny---I too have a vacation planned for May 2013. end of may. 14 days at a florida beach. that is my goal. almost the same as yours!!! we can and will do it!

I am truly sorry for your losses. Having been through 3 miscarriages myself, I can understand some of what you are feeling. With my last miscarriage in November 2009, I was at goal weight until the loss of the baby at 12 weeks. After that, my hormones were so off that I gained back all of my lost weight. I'm glad you have came back here for support, and I wish you much success on your journey back to a good place - mentally and physically.
