Headache!

I am in second day of induction and have a headache since last night. I am assuming this is my body complaining and wanting it's sugar and carbs back. I am drinking plenty of water and eating so I'm hoping it will pass. I might take some Excedrin, but just had breakfast so waiting to see if it goes away. This is also my very first time ever eliminating white stuff from my diet and low carbing it so I am wondering if anyone else feels strange during the first couple days of induction!?

Oh gosh yes! I'm restarting today and definitely expecting to have a "blah" feeling for a while. It all varies per person, but usually those on induction have something like what you describe. In my experience it goes away after a day or two so hang in there!

I'm sure other people can help out with better advice, but I try to lay down when I can and drink as much water as I can stand! Good luck!

Yep I got that too when I started induction. I think it's part of what they call the Induction Flu. Hope you feel better soon!

Drink some broth to help get your chemicals back in order. Did you quit caffeine for induction too?

I second the drinking of broth.
Make sure you are getting enough salt too.

Thanks for responding, I'm glad it's not just me I do have some broth I will try to have some at lunch. I did not give up caffine, I only typically drink 1 coffee in the morning. I did change from having sugar and flavored sugary creamer in it though. Just stevia and 1TBSP of HC. I was afraid to give up the coffee it might break me, maybe some time in the future.

When I started low-carbing, I would salt my morning glass of water, which seemed to help with the headaches.

Why would anyone even consider giving up coffee??? You can pry my hot cup o' joe from my cold, dead hands.

Lordy don't do it!

I drink as much coffee and caffeine as I can stand.

But back in the mid-90s when I did NDR for a month or two I took Atkins at his word and quit caffeine cold turkey. I thought I was gonna die lol. I added it back in vast quantities within about 30 hours.

Yes I do love my morning cup! Headache went away by lunch so that's good. Noticed I am a bit more tired than usual in the evening these past two days, but hopefully that will even out too.
