Please, let me know if they don't have sugar alcohol. I find bars have sugar alcohol so I avoid like the plague.

I have noticed Aldis has started carrying some decent things.

I bought some... both the coconut and the caramel nut bars. I've only tried half of each so far, but they are pretty darn good! BUT of course they have maltitol in them....

I <3 aldi's i'm a twice a week shopper! They also have organic Coffee, Organic string cheese & Organic marinara sauce (pretty good too) on sale this week! Didn't think of the bars not doing sweetners but may have to get some in case I'm having one of those days!

I was hoping but I cannot do the sugar alcohol...insert scene from Aliens but add in the song for "Don't stand so close to me".

What does everyone else buy there? I need to see what I can start getting cheaper. Any other low carb snacks?

I tried them. They were good, tasted just like Atkin's bars to me...and had the same problem with eating the whole damn box in one sitting. Gave me the same tummy troubles too.

Just confirms that I have to avoid those (and any candy bars) like the plague. I cannot eat just one.

I bought like 30-40 boxes, all that my store had at that time about 2 months ago. They had a caramel version and a coconut one. I really liked the coconut one, infact that was breakfast this morning as I was in a hurry.

Argh! Maltitol is in everything.

Well, I love Aldi so I'll give them a shot. Sometimes if I eat half and then avoid everyone for the rest of the day I'm fine.

The coconut one is very yummy. I didn't have tummy issues with eating 1/2 at a time.

I shop at Aldi a lot... my hubby loves it because it's small, we can get in and out quickly, and you don't have to choose between twenty different kinds/brands of any given product.

I can get pretty much everything I eat at Aldi -- eggs, almonds, pork rinds, all kinds of cheeses, lots of meats, sour cream, HWC, bottled water - and their produce is especially good and cheap. I also use their home products (cleaners, paper towels, etc). I would rather just get everything at one place than run around comparing prices and making multiple trips to different stores! The only things that I can't get there are the specialty items like LC tortillas, almond flour, etc.

Aldi def saves money and time -- and I've never been disappointed with a product there. They do have the double guarantee if you are ever dissatisfied with a product (replace it, plus money back) - which I have never had to do.

Aldi!!!

I love Aldi! The bars tho, eh, I don't care for them. Too sweet for me and seem to set cravings off. And they give me tummy rumbles. I'd rather spend my money on something else.

I DO buy a ton of other LC foods there. I highly recommend the guacamole!

My Aldi's now stocks Mission low carb tortillas. Not the best price, but good for times I dont want to shop at multiple stores. I do like they are just now adding more organic items too.

i buy mama lupes tortillas from netrition and they are great! I have tried other brands from target mission? i think and the carb count was double and the price was double as well...

I will also try to get to aldis for the bars, they are nice once in awhile.

The lc Mission tortillas were 3.99 for an 8 ct package. I thought that was alot! But I guess not if Walmart is 5 bucks! I usually get my lc tortillas at Stop and Shop, I forget the brand name, but I pay about 2.99 a package. The mission ones are tastier and softer though.

I just need to get there and walk sloooowllly. I usually go in, get stuff, get out. At least I'm going alone tonight so I can stall!

Were they in a particular area? The bars, I mean.

They were right by the front door at my store... but I've also seen them by the granola bars/protein bars.

Not to hijack the thread - but my Aldi's has avocados for 39 cents this week, and whole cauiflower heads for 79 cents, and broccoli for 90 cents a lb. Check your ads - good deals!

I sometimes price match at Wal-Mart since it's closer.

Oh I wish there was an Aldis here! At Walmart here they run around $6.00 a box. I don't get them often but it's nice to know they are cheaper if I ever decide to get some, too bad there's no Aldis here.

Hijack away when ya got that kinda info! Lol.
Mission brand LC tortillas are all i've been able to find around here. I like the taste but the price is Yikes! I don't use them very often though, usually for Taco bowls.
I need to start paying closer attention in Aldis too hopefully they'll start getting more lc stuff

Frustrated - the Burnsville Aldi had nothing that looked like Atkins bars. They had some that said "compare to Special K bars" but the carb count was high, even when I subtracted the fiber. I looked everywhere.. Oh well. Thanks for the help!

I do love their version of these: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_-GLCuQWUlL...gcowcoupon.jpg

I find them near the string cheese, in the open-air fridge section (not by the sour cream and cream cheese behind the doors).

Editing to say that I bought their version of Lipton diet green tea - citrus (12 pack, blue twist off lids in plastic bottles - 16.9 oz) and they're really good!
