I'm HOT!!

...and I'm HOTT! but seriously, I'm warm, all the time now. Not hot flashes or anything like that. I have had my a/c set on 60 all weekend, here in my office I'm sitting directly in front of the a/c, and I'm on the brink of sweating.

Granted, I've been sick all weekend, but I do NOT have a temperature, and I've been HOT for a week now.

I'm 2 solid weeks back on 10g total (not net) carbs per day. Is this a sign of ketosis?

I do not test, nor do I weigh. I actually don't own a scale, but I can tell I'm down due to my clothing.

I usually eat in the vicinity of 10g total carbs, but I have never known absolutely that I was in ketosis because I never bought strips. I just knew I was losing weight so everything seemed to be working the way it's supposed to work. The only thing that may have been a symptom of ketosis for me was that my sweat started smelling really really strong after exercise for a little while. But I was never overly hot or anything. But who knows? I guess it can be different for different people.

See, this is funny, because when I'm low carbing, I'm the exact opposite. I AM COLD ALL OF THE DARNED TIME NOW! I think for me it might be more of a weight thing? When I weighed 200+, I was hot all of the time. I liked the AC set in the 60's. Now that I'm ~130, I freeze. Our AC at home is set at 78 and even then I still get cold from time to time. I keep a coat/shawl at work because I'm freezing for 70+ percent of the day!

I blame this change on the fact that I lost all of my insulating blubber.

Limetwist, I'm more like you. I need to take a sweater everywhere, even in 95 degree weather, because I get very cold in movie theaters, restaurants, grocery stores, other people's houses...you get the idea, lol.

But Cherrytt, I mentioned your post to my husband who just started low carbing last week, and he says he notices he gets very hot a lot these days too.

It's a ketosis mystery. :-)

Are you eating coconut oil or coconut butter? I noticed I was having hot flash-like symptoms when I starting eating it, before my body got used to it.

I had that happen to me a few times my first week of Induction. Figured I was either having a hot flash or burning fat like a wild woman!

My feet were freezing cold last night! I remember being cold all the time when I weight next to nothing. My hubby said last night that now I am almost back to normal cause my feet are cold???
