Anyone tried just shaking glucomannan on your food??

I am loving the appetitie suppression, but not really sure of all the ways to eat it.

The pudding sounds ok, but not sure if I would like it??

I was just thinking about sprinkling it over my PB2 in the morning but was wondering if it has the same affect on appetite suppression in powder form as it does blended up???

Have you tried it??

I eat it mainly by making pudding which I find very satisfying. I have also used it with some success in thicken sauces. I think it might not be nice just shook over food.

I wouldn't do it. I know it's a choking hazard since it expands and soaks up liquid. I wouldn't take the chance by trying to eat it dry at all. I'd really advise against it.

If you want the appetite suppressant aspect without mixing it into foods, they sell it in capsule form. I agree with Dottie, I wouldn't recommend eating it just bare or sprinkled over foods. I think it should be either encapsulated so it can travel to your stomach before it expands, or mixed throroughly into your food or beverage.

I thought that it was risky only if taken in capsule form! I guess I was thinking that a capsule could easily get stuck going down and could cause damage.

Glad I asked!! Definetly don't want to choke. Thanks for responding.

I have the capsules and have never had a problem, but I wash them down with a LOT of water just to be safe.

If you want to think twice about doing stuff like that. Take 1 tsp of glucomannan and dissolve it in 1 cup water.

Stir and stir, then come back later and see just how viscous it is! Scary!! YOu do have to know what you're doing before diving in and eating it.

I really don't think it would work but would just stick like glue to the inside of your mouth. Yuk.

Maybe making a beverage w it....you don't need a whole tsp at a time, just however much is appealing.
