If I eat too many almonds, or eat them on an empty stomach, then I get terrible stomach pains. Not so much diarrhea or constipation, but definitely pain.

I have replied to one of your earlier threads about food sensitivities.
I used to have problems with seeds and nuts too,but not anymore.if not taken care of now, probably you will notice you become sensitive to more and more foods.
remember any one food is not the problem, your digestive system is and it needs some healing.

The roasted/salted cashews give me a wierd oily diarrhea TMI but I started getting the raw cashews, soaking and making the butter or cream with them. No problem. And now I only eat a tablespoon of it at a time.

Well lets just say, the reason I don't gain from a nut binge is because they don't digest. So maybe that is why you stomach hurts?

its a little geeky, but she explains allergies and sensitivities a great deal.then explains a program for starting digestive enzymes.

hope tha helps.feel free to ask me any more info if you need it.

How many are you eating? Maybe it's all about quantity.

Almonds give me a bit of heartburn for some reason! Always have. But I eat them from time to time anyway.

I have no issues with almonds but I have finally discovered that I've developed an allergy or an intolerance to cashews. I break out in a rash and get itchy everywhere the cashews touch....coming and going (if you know what I mean). It took me a long time to figure it out. Thinking back I can see the symptoms were getting a little worse each time I ate them. Too bad because cashews are so yummy.

I have been reading the thread about almond butter bread, and almonds make my mouth and tongue sore, but I got almond butter today and I'm gonna try it ! Maybe it's the outer shell ??
