Bikini @ 40? - Page 2

I wore one yesterday and I'm 41. How else am I supposed to show off my abs and tattoos

What I do, and feel most comfortable doing is I wear a bikini top and board shorts. My lower abs is where I have a little flab and the board shorts cover it up perfectly. Swim skirts do the same, but for some reason they make me look heavy.

I'm 46 and that's all I wear. I also workout pretty regularly.

I wear one. I don't gain weight in my abdomen, its all in my chest and thighs. So if I wear a one piece I hide my flat belly but my thighs still show? Makes no sense!

Besides I hate having wet swim suit all over my body.

I'll be 43 in September.

I think you should wear one. I would! I'm going to wear one once this weight is off even if I don't have the perfect body after how much I have to lose. If they don't like a little extra skin they can look somewhere else.(in my case ) IMO.

I say Go for it! I'm 43 and if my stomach wasn't so scarred up from surgeries i'd be wearing on, well one day anyway Lol.

I've been thinking about trying one on. I am 37 and I have a belly pouch...so I have to try one on and see just how pouchy it is.

I am 43 and I would wear one if I could (two kids left me with stretchmarks). I also wear skirts above the knee sometimes! You worked hard for it; flaunt it!

After spending my younger years battling my weight and always shy about my body, it feels great to be me these days! But, also with age comes confidence, I would love my body even if I were a bit chunky now. As you get older the focus really is on health over vanity.
Plus, I have a long torso, so a one piece always goes up my butt. And my tummy my not be perfect, but butt is definately 40!

You do look great!

I looked at a couple young girls that sported bikinis last year and saw they had about as much or more of a belly than I did. Then, I said why not! Like I said, I keep board shorts over my 51 year old butt in public though...at my pool....full bikini!
