Make your self a "project"

If you are like me, you have to make things a big "project!" I have to give 100% focus and commitment to my project. The "project" is me! So, I recommend this tracking method to all who need to make a big deal of their own success. My nieces who love crafting were visiting me recently so we bought brightly colored poster board , one for each month, and decorated the calandar days with stickers and ribbons and inspirational thoughts! These hang on my dining room wall and I don't care who sees it, I'm proud of my daily weigh ins and success. Recently we had a burning smell in our home and the firemen came to check it out and saw the posters and were like "oh summer activity schedules for the kids?" I was like "yeah that's it" and I smiled to myself real big! It's my secret and I'm the best "project" there ever was or will be in my life!

Make yourself your "project" and give it 100% praise and love and devotion to your success!

That's a great attitude, Steph. Keep up the great work, and congratulations on valuing yourself, because you ARE worth being your main project.

Congrats on finding something that works for you. I am like that in the 100% mind set. I really need to get back to it. Best wishes on the "summer activity" lol

Love it!

I make it a project too - and it kind of rules my life for a few weeks. I get slightly obsessed with what other people are eating...however I do keep my mouth shut and my opinions to myself.

Sometimes when I see other, I ask myself do I look like that? Am I still fatter than her?
Then when I see someone who is struggling with walking or overweight and in a power scooter, I think I wish I could tell them about this site, encourage them to lose weight and enjoy life. Life is more than just about eating. But we never now what secrets are in their lives-what problems they have physically and mentally.
Having a project is wonderful. My current project is finding a lost binder. I looked everywhere-but it is still missing.
And I'm trying to keep my poor flowers alive during this drought. I was concerned about eating all those carby tomatoes when they start to ripen, I don't think that will be a problem as I will have a very small harvest, if anything.
What did the firemen say was the burning smell?

I make myself a project, too, although I'm not sure it's the healthiest thing in the world, emotionally. LOL. Now that I am separated, my project is to transform myself and my environment into serene, healthy, and beautiful. Toward that end, I am getting back into shape, first with low carb and later with weight training. I am slowly redecorating my condo to make it a single girl haven and filling it with unique pieces that I love. I'm doing the same to my wardrobe, my skin care routine, and my social life. Projects can be fun!

I love your project idea! I did something similar, though not nearly as crafty as you. I took a big piece of cardboard and glued all my racing bibs and ribbons on it. So now if I don't feel like going out for a run I just have to look at my 'running board' and it usually motivates me. I may have to adopt your project idea!

Agreed! It has to feel like we are giving ourselves something. We have to replace the old activity (always wondering where our next carbohydrates are coming from) with a new one. I definitely see this as my "me" project.
