Pre made salads...
I'm at the ball park, my oldest practicing and am gagging on a Wal Mart salad. It looked so good, egg, cheese, carrots, bacon, and tomatoes that I chucked in the trash sack EEWWW. Buttermilk ranch, which was awesome but needed more. It's the lettuce that tastes nasty, I can't explain it, just yucky. Maybe it's just me. It's probably because the rest of the gang had Pizza Hut!!
Where are some good pre made salads? |

You could always make and bring your own next time. That way you can control what goes into it. If not, I've heard that Wendy's has a good salad out with an avocado dressing I believe.

Lettuce is fragile and small changes in temperature or moisture will wreck it. I was pretty surprised to see salads in the checkout at CVS pharmacy too but they looked pretty dubious.
Grocery store salad bars are often quite good. If you're lucky, it will include meat from their deli. |

I think bagged lettuce taste different. I don't like it. It just doesn't taste as good as the fresh.

I don't have a problem with bag lettuce except for one thing (and it's something I can examine thru the plastic)...I hate the 'red' tinge on the iceberg lettuce. If it has the red or rusty tinge on the more pale parts or 'stalkier' parts of the lettuce, I toss it aside. I look for this in pre-made store salads as well. Once I find the lettuce to my liking visually, I think Trader Joe's has a nice little tasty salad. I like Cobb, Greek & Cesar.

Zaxbys salads are Yum too! I can Not stand the taste of bagged salads. Makes me gag thinking about it. I'd either make my own and bring in a sealable container or get one from a resturant.

I like Wendy's and Subway. Subway salads are great because they are customizable and you can get extra meat!
