Gary Taubes/Mercola Interview

This is so amazing--especially the part about the apple being not much better than a potato. This really confirms why I believe so strongly in low carbing.

This one is great because you can just listen at work/school (it's just audio), and the info is distilled in an easy-to-understand format. But because Mercola and Yaubes are both so experienced and erudite, the quality of the discussion is VERY, VERY high. I really am refreshed from listening to it. Enjoy!

Thank you! I am adding to my list of 'must listen to' as well. Do you happen to know if there is anyway to load this onto an ipod?

Cathy, I don't know about an ipod, but I use KeepVid for downloading Youtube videos and save them as MP4 files, which I then watch on my Macbook.

Rsmorales, thank you for this link. I found it very interesting. It is a very long listen but worth doing!
I will also sit my hubbie down and we can listen together! I liked the fact lean people are not lean because they are "good" it is just how God built them & likewise for me, all previous advice is no good but Atkins was correct-bless him.hope he gets goody points up there!

This is a good point. I know some people who are constantly eating garbage and exhibit just about every expected symptom except the big waist--falling asleep constantly, can't walk more than a mile, bad bloodwork, etc. Because they wear small clothes, they assume their lifestyle is fine and so they love to lecture heavy people about their fat intake (I especially love it when people tell me my Thousand Hills beef is destroying the environment and starving African children).

If Gary Taubes accomplishes nothing else, I hope more people can see that big pants are just one possible symptom of the many possibly caused by these USDA recommendations and we should all take it seriously.
