Does keto-adapted take away carb cravings? Ketosis is not!

I have been in agony over carb cravings this past week and I know I'm in ketosis. Will this go away once i get fully keto-adapted in a few weeks?

Yes. Be careful to keep your carb count to within 20 eating the prescribed foods and keep your protein intake to moderate and you will be good to go in no time. KUTGW!!!

this is so mental as well as physical though... that's why I think it's key to eat a really boring low carb diet for some time until your mind just gives up this craving thing. then you can try low carb treats and enjoy them.

Are you headed for your TOM? That's when cravings are at their very worst. Load up with fat--it helps!

Two more things to consider:
1. Artificial sweeteners may keep your cravings going just like sugar.
2. You may need L-tyrosine.

I so agree with this. As delicious and varied LC can be, I found that by eating really simple foods (simply prepared meats and veggies ) that I just didn't want to eat that much. I felt that less food curbed my appetite when I did NOT ADD extra fats, elaborate seasonings nor sauces.

I prefer eating a pretty varied diet as a WOE but if your goal is appetite control, I suggest keeping it simple, EAT FULL FAT (not extra) and eat as often as you get hungry until you get it under control.

Thanks everyone for the helpful tips! I have been just pigging out on everything low carb that I can get my hands on as well as a few other tricks I had forgotten about. 5-Htp really helps me right now. All seems to be leveling off and my sanity is coming back (did I ever have it? lol)
