I can feel your pain about slow weight loss but I applaud ALL THE LOSS you did have in a jealous though supportive though jealous sorty weigh..

Ive gotton much advice about dropping things and getting back into induction (although it seems you are).. but my scale refuses... ALL tell me to just stick with it but my logical mind cant wrap around how little I eat and how little I lose..

GUESS what Im saying is I feel ya!

The scale is going to go down a lot faster when you first start low carbing and 65 pounds since february is a lot of weight. A slow down after the first few months is normal. For example, I have been at this for two years. I lost 60 pounds within the first six months. I lost 20 in the next 6 months. I lost 15 the next six months and I have not lost any the last six months.

It also depends on how close you are to goal. As you get smaller, the weight loss will also slow down. Weight loss is also not linear and it does come in spurts sometimes. You might loss nothing for a couple of weeks and then drop 3-4 teh week after that. Another thing to keep in mind is a true stall is not losing any inches or pounds for 6 weeks.

i am all for throwing the scale out the window.

just make sure, u open the window first. it is a major bummer, especially after a quick weight loss period. i have caved more than once owing to such a frustrating ordeal. I learned, after decades of failure, that it is not about how quickly. It is part of a lifelong journey. So, i learned to sit back and enjoy the daily experience of real, delicious low carb eating. Add to that my binge behavior, and it would have been the 3rd rail for me, if i did not learn patience. In order to get to goal, i need to drop almosty 200 lbs. However, I will settle for ONEDERLAND. what is most important for me right now, is to FEEL better, get my energy back. Once I can start my walking, it is 1/2 the battle won. I hope that by articulating this perspective it will give you new motivation to continue the journey, regardless of the time factor. After all, you are going to get to goal and permanent maintenance anyway, so what's the rush? What they said. Stay the course! You've done amazing. Its not uncommon to have stops and starts. Weight loss is not linear for most people and yes the closer you get to goal, the slower it tends to come off but don't let that discourage you. Also, don't forget to take measurements or use something other than the scale to judge your progress. The scale doesn't always give an accurate picture of what is happening.

There are many plateaus that you will reach as your body adjusts to the losses. The scale sometimes does not move rapidly and may fluctuate up and down 3 or 4 pounds either way, but the clothes will tell the biggest story, even if the scale does not coopertate. Those fluctuations may vary because of what we eat and higher salt intake in the food. Hang in there, you are doing great!!!!!!!!

I totally agree with what everyone else has said here. You have done an awesome job so far and hit the inevitable bump in the road. Stay the course. You know the weight will come off if you keep doing what you're doing. It's been slow going for me too. But I have to expect that since I put off doing this for the last time until stupid me was 60 years old. Can you spell I-D-I-O-T? But, no matter what, I will not let that white crap pass my lips. I'm in this for the long haul and together we will all get there.

Remember this is your new way of life and, when you have a chance, try carrying around something that weighs 65 pounds (pack a backpack if you have to) and remember you did that all day, every day, everywhere you went. Now, don't you feel great?

I had the same thing happen: lost 60 and then everything came to a screeching halt. I eventually figured out that I was eating the right amount of food to maintain my weight, but too much to lose more. In short-- Too many calories. Try tracking your calories for a day or two, use a calorie calculator and figure out if you might be eating too much and not even realizing it. You should never have to restrict your calories to the point of being hungry when you are low carb...but I'm sure a lot of people get stuck eating the same amounts without compensating for their lost weight.

eat more zero...well as zero as biologically possible, everything has carbs....but eat eat eat....stay clear of as many carbs as possible! It does slow down and it does restart, sooner or later.....I have learned stressing about no scale movement can really hurt weight loss.
