Sleep changes
I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed any changes in their sleeping? I've Always been a sleeper, loved sleeping in late when possible but i've noticed a change over the last week or two. I've got both kids home now due to summer vacation so I can sleep in But I can't because i'm awake by 6:30-7:00 every morning. I'm still sleepy but not enough to try to go back to sleep. It's just weird to me that now i'm doing fine on 6-7 hrs of sleep when before i'd be miserable All day if I didn't get at Least 9 hrs especially with my fibromylgia. Guess maybe it's another bonus to LC? Lol

I'm finding the same sort of thing, but it's more about getting to sleep. I am WIDE AWAKE until midnight or later, where before I was going off to sleep by about 10PM. Drives me mad but I'm never tired during the day - I always have LOADS of energy! Yep, I see it as a bonus

Sami that's the way I am too! I usually went to be by 10:30 At the latest and now if I try that i'm laying there tossing and turning. Love the energy during the day though!

Same here. I get about 7 hours each night, but I have to take Melatonin to get myself to sleep at 10:00-10:30. I almost never feel tired during the day! Also, on the weekends I am always up between 8-9, even when I can sleep in!

I am the same and I have been LOVING it! Harder to fall asleep at night (although I'm hoping when I start exercising it will help with that) and early to rise! And no more 2-3pm yawnies!!

I find that I don't need nearly as much sleep as I did pre-lc. Which is great since my son wakes me up by 6:30-7am daily! I'm not tired during the day either which is a big change from me wanting to nap anytime my toddler did. Love having his nap times as "me" time

I used to be awake until 12 or 1 in the morning and then need to sleep until 10am. Now I go to sleep by 10 or 11 and am ready to be up by 7. This morning I woke up at 5 but dozed until almost 8. I should have gotten my booty out of bed and gotten busy but I really just wanted to sleep!!

I'm one of those weirdos that wakes up 3:30-4:00am everyday. No alarm, my body has been that way for 20 years, but I have found out that since back heavy into the LC lifestyle, I'm finding it harder to get to sleep. For me to be fully functional (work, family, and exercise) I need to be in bed at 9:00pm. Like Mac said, I have to take Melatonin sometimes to help. I'm not a fan to being dependent on pills for sleep. I'm still working out the kinks.

I find that I fall asleep much faster (by 10) and I'm up before my alarm goes off at 6:30. The only change from my pre-LC days is falling asleep faster and sleeping better.
I'm still as sleepy during the day as I used to be. I did not find this WOE increased my energy during the day, unfortunately. |

Oh yes... I need much less sleep. I've always been a morning person but now I find myself staying up later AND getting up earlier. I think I get about 3 hours less sleep.

I definitely consider being on a more "normal" internal clock and waking up more easily to be additional advantages of this woe. I guess I had some sort of carb hangover going on, all the rest of my life, which made me feel like I couldn't function in the early morning. |

LC makes me sleep like a rock, if that makes sense. Before going LC I had issues with sleep walking and sleep eating...I haven't done either once since going LC!!!! No more alarm on my bedroom door to keep me in

I found this happening to me also...get up and enjoy a cup of coconut oil coffee and enjoy the peace and quiet before the kids get up...I used to get so much done in that couple of hours.
