I'm on induction (2nd week) and I've had a headache the whole time. I can even feel it when I"m sleeping. Any ideas why this is happening? I'm eating enough and drinking enough water. My proteins are beef, chicken, eggs. Also consume cheese and veggies. I haven't given up coffee, either.

I had a headache that nothing would touch for days when I first got back on LC.
I did find that salt helped. I used Sunfire salt and would put it on my tongue.

For me it was dehydration. JUST because you think you are drinking enough water does not mean you are not dehydrated electrolyte wise and actually the more water you drink if you are not taking your supplements.. the more depleted your electrolytes become. Do you take minerals?

It can also just be simple carb/sugar detox. The more addicted to sugar you were the worse the detox will be.

Try electrolytes and a good quality salt. See if that helps.

Good luck!

chicken broth - at least 2 cups per day. It is essential. Read up on your plan and avoid this kind of pitfall!

Also could be carb flu. I don't get headaches, but I get back pain in shoulders and my mood swings into the impatience/rage feeling easily (especially sound sensitive). This happens as your seratonin is temporarily depleted as it is being used to manufacture enzymes used in breaking down your dietary fat.

Also, what the others said about dehydration and electrolytes.

Also, anything with MSG or Aspartame (excitotoxins) (i.e. diet cokes etc...) have been know to trigger headaches/migranes....

How painful is it?
I think that with a headache that has lasted two weeks, you may want to consider a visit to your doctor.
