P90X Yoga.

RDBhan, thanks for suggesting P90X! I have a question for you. Did you follow the Nutritional plan that came with the program? If not, what kind of eating plan did you follow? I wouldn't mind losing a few pounds, but my dd15 would like to lose 10 or 15 and she's doing P90X with me. We eat basically "no sugar/no refined carbs" right now but the weight is not moving for her. Thanks for your help!

"Hey, you took the plunge into "X"! Good for you! How are you finding it?"

I just saw this from the Friday thread... We are in the 3rd week. The first week went really well but the second week left me very sore! I like most of the workouts but I cannot do a pull up at all! But hey, I couldn't do a pushup when I started P90! I've been using the bands on the pullup bar but if I can figure out how to use a chair without killing myself I might try that!

I did a segment of Cathe's AbHits this morning.

Going to the gym this afternoon. I am going to do Cardio Coach vol 5 on the treadmill with sprints instead of hills.

I didn't use the nutrition plan. I have stayed on Protein Power with some slight increase in pre workout carbs (1 greek yogurt + pb +/- protein powder = 9-10 gm carbs, 25-50 gm protein). As far as weight loss (or muscle gain) it seems to be the common experience that the changes don't occur until month 3, but then happen rapidly.

Pull ups! You can use a chair, but I would HIGHLY recommend getting the "chin up max." It's basically an assist device that you can adjust so you're not pulling up your entire body weight. I use it after I reach failure unassisted, but my wife uses it for every rep. I was $30 or so if I remember correctly.

2 mile walk tonight. Starting a garden this week, tonight I'm going to do a layout of my planned garden and get ready to rototill on Friday. I'm thinking it will be a great way to get in some extra exercising/calorie burning and I get fresh veggies to boot!

Thanks for the information. The Nutrition plan looks a little hard to me anyway. I'm clueless on Protein Power but will look it up. You've really been successful with the P90 programs! I just looked up the chin up max and it seems like it would be very helpful to me.

Got to the gym late today. Hate going during after work rush hour. Too crowded. Only did 30 mins on the arc trainer

Came home and mowed the front and side of my yard. That was hard work!
