How to regain the fire

Several years before my kids I lost 90 pounds. I did well controlling my gain with the kids but just can't seem to lose those last 15-20 . I can't seem to figure out what got me able to get momentum before and how to get it back so I can get to goal. Ideas?

Oh gosh, that's a hard one! For me, it was all about my health. I knew that if I didn't do SOMETHING, I was in trouble.

I find that journaling helps. Think of the reasons you want to lose and keep those in your mind. Let those be your guide when you have to make food decisions.

Getting a new LC book and reading it can be motivating. Or re-reading one you already read. I have read Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution at least 20 times and I always am reminded of great little tidbits each time I go thru.

Another thing - If whatever you are doing hasn't been working for a long time, it may be time to change something. And when I say this I mean -- it could be your way of eating, it could be your macros, your meal timing, your amount of sleep, your stress levels, your supplements, your frequency and duration of exercise, your type of exercise, your mental state/world view, etc etc etc.

Hope that helps! Good luck to you!

I agree with the previous post about changing something. Look at the boards and maybe you can find the perfect plan that will make you excited about losing those last pounds. Great job is losing the weight that you did!
