Why am I so hungry?

For breakfast I ate 2 pcs bacon and 1 fried egg, and I am starving.

You can always eat more! I usually have 2-3 hard boiled eggs every morning with whatever breakfast meat I'm eating. I don't think one egg would fill me up, ever.

If you are hungry I say eat. That does not sound like a lot of food and you said it was at 6:00 a.m. when you ate. At this point it has been 4 hours so eat.

Eat 2 eggs! The fat and protein will help fill you up. Eggs are such a nutritional powerhouse.

2 pieces of bacon 27cals ea. 1 egg 83cals total not even 140. You use just for maintainance about 100 cals an hour if you sit absolutely still.......you aren't eating enough!

My breakfast!
3 eggs scrambled with 3 teaspoons of bacon fat, 4 slices of bacon, coffee with 1 tablespoon of butter. (79% fat, 20% protein, 1% carbs)
I am full!
Hope this helps!

A little over exaggerated...OPs BMR is probably closer to 60 cals/hr maybe a bit less. However, it is understandable the OP is hungry.

ok, lunch was ground beef patty w/mayo smothered on it, a couple of lettuce leaves, 2 slices tomato. I was still hungry even though I have been snacking on a few almonds. So...I ate the rest of my almonds along with some mango that I brought to work. (I know that I really shouldn't have had the mango, but it was all I had. I should have brought another ground beef patty. Again, thanks for the comments, and I am going to do some better planning.

I am the same, If I eat two-three pieces of turkey bacon and 2-3 hard boiled eggs (especially if it's the higher count for both), I won't be hungry even at lunchtime.
Generally I eat breakfast between 7 and 9 am, have a small lunch/snack around 3-4 pm and then dinner around 7-8pm.
Those eggs in the morning really help balance out my appetite for the day. I like having 3, because it seems like when I do I'm barely hungry alllllll day with no cravings.

I am not a big breakfast eater. I usually just eat a deviled egg for breakfast just to get my metabolism going. I'm usually hungry in two hours.

Are you just starting? I find at the beginning of induction for a week or two I need to eat more ....and more often-- or else i get "diethead" (ie- "ok i'll have 2 pieces of bacon and 1 egg because thats what you do on a diet even though i'm hhhuuunnnggggrrryyyyyy"!) Don't worry as long as you keep the carbs low the hunger fades...it's a great feeling!

I did the fried eggs, but found if I do scrambled eggs, adding a tablespoon of heavy cream so they are fluffy and using butter to cook with, that extra bit of fat does the job pretty well. Also, if you are counting bacon as those tiny, thin, pathetic pieces of meat you get wrapped in plastic packaging, then you might want to double what you are eating, or go to the deli or meat market and get real bacon. It is super thick, protein and fat, and lots of flavor. Just a suggestion.

FYI.... I can't eat eggs in the morning or I'm starving all day long. Something about the protein in the egg that does it to me, yet I could have as little as 2 slices of bacon and do for hours.

It's just the egg and I have PROVED it to myself over and over again. Actually started a thread about this on LCFs a couple of years ago!

I have to agree with you on this one. I can do eggs and bacon and be more than ready for a snack in 2 hours, or have a cheese stick wrapped in 2 oz of turkey or beef and I have to force myself to eat again in 4 hours because I'm just not hungry.

I am just the opposite. Eggs fill me up for a long time, and I can only eat 2 at a time, max.

Wow, look at all the differences. I am going to try more eggs in the morning along with a little HTC and butter, and yes, my skinny, pathetic bacon strips. Oh yeah...by the way, the other day I had the mock Danish and was still hungry by mid morning, but once again, maybe not enough food to hold me until lunch. Tonight I am also making defiled eggs and Dana Carpender's pumpkin muffins. I will be armed and ready.

FYI, that wasn't intended as an insult. I just like bacon with some substance and less chemicals.

That wouldn't be enough food for me. If that is the thin slice bacon, then you've had approx. 180 calories for breakfast. I usually do 400 or so. I would have 3 eggs and 2 super thick cut bacon slices, usually with a bit of cheese on the eggs and cream in my coffee. That kind of eating holds me until dinner usually.
