Where do you lose fat first?

I just looked a picture of myself since I started losing. My face and arms look like they did when I was in HS, I look thin and it's amazing. My belly on the other hand...not so much. Is this just an aging thing? A Mom thing? When did you start to notice the stubborn belly fat falling off?

I never nor will I ever want a six pack, but I'd prefer to not look pregnant. My kid is 18 months old

Well... belly is the last to go for me as well. I do lose some in the belly but not as fast as I loose in the face and buttocks (which i am not too happy about). I don't think I will ever see a 6 packs abs, but If my body fat is low, the belly eventually gets smaller

I don't want anyone to think I thought it would magically fall off, but I feel like my belly maybe just looks a tiny bit less bloated than before. The change in my face is dramatic though. It's annoying!

I lose in stomach and hips. My arms never really look good! I would love to have great arms so that I can wear sleeveless tops. So great for the summer.

Your deposition pattern is highly individual, and there's really nothing you can do to change it. It's always first on, last off.

I was surprised that people were commenting on my face as early as the first 10-15 lbs, but my torso is still a total bummer. I think it actually looks worse now because the diameter is smaller so the fat looks relatively large. If you look at an ectomorph with a bad diet, the gain is almost all front and center at first. Just gotta keep at it!

I lose like I gain.... all over. It makes it hard in the beginning to see. I had to lose 25lbs to start going down in clothing.

This is totally me. Thanks for commenting, hearing that other people experience the same is sometimes the pick me up you need.

I've lost 40 lbs-gone down one pants size. I don't see a difference. But my adult son said he noticed my weight loss then he gave me a hug. So I guess I lose all over. I read here where one gal mentoined that her young son could grip his hands behind her back during a hug when she lost some weight. I'm in a craving mood, so I'll have to pray for strength to resist food of any kind for today and tomorrow.
