Hate the weekends
It's so easy on week days to stick on my LC Diet..
becasuse im so busy and stressed and i dont have time to think about food. but now im home.. and i keep looking for a snack.. I know i m just complaining. I so want to lose this weight.. and the weekends just dont help.. NOt to mention TOM... but I just feel bad today. Between TOM and achy just wanted to stuff my face of carbs.. But I just wont allow myself to do that.. Husband even giving me suggestions.. just have more today and go back on it tomorrow. but im like obsessed... what if i cant find the wilpower to go back on it tomorrow.. its like im ocd'ing or something.. I lost 10 pounds in 5 days im so excited! and dont want to screw it up.. I actually just slept for 2 hours. maybe i can sleep the rest of the weekend and be done with it! hope everyone is having a better weekend than I.............. Stressed Grace. |

Bacon. Have some bacon. Even bacon & cheese. We buy the pre-cooked Oscar Mayer bacon and keep it in the fridge for quick snacks. Love it with a bit of mayo & a couple of slices of chopped tomato (for a bowl o'bacon-tomato sandwich taste without the bread.) Or zap the bacon with a small chunk of cheese for a gooey-bacony indulgenge.
If you're looking for crunchy, zap your bacon til crunchy. You probably need the calories...and 10 lbs in 5 days is a big re-set for your body. Feed it: meat & fat. |

No matter how miserable you feel you are 10 pounds lighter...that's gotta feel good...a whole lot better than 10 pounds heavier and still miserable and even more so since you woulda let that weight come back...so no matter how bad you are feeling you would feel worse with that extra 10pounds....KUTGW...you will get pat this.

Sometimes, when I crave carbs super-bad, a handful of Macadamias will help. Dr. Atkins called them "God's gift to dieters", because they're so high in fat and low in carbohydrates. An entire CUP of macadamias has 6 net carbs. (17 total, 11 from fiber. 1 cup of almonds, by contrast, has 27g carbs and 16 g fiber, for 11g net carbs. Roughly twice as much.) He uses Macadamias on the "Fat Fast", so I've always used them on induction, as well.
(Then again, I'm the weird gal who doesn't really go into ketosis that well without nuts.) But when I really just want a piece of bread... Nuts (especially macs) will satisfy the craving without throwing me off. Last edited by LiterateGriffin; 04-08-2012 at 01:28 PM.. |

Weekends are also the worst for me, I always eat way too much LC food. I can stay strict with portion control during the week but come Saturday all bets are off. I'm thankful I don't crave the carby foods. But I swear every time I walk by the fridge I have to get something out of it. I generally gain a couple pounds but they usually drop off pretty fast once the new week starts. I am finally accepting that this is how it's gonna be I guess. I guess I'm gonna always be one of those people who loses 3 pounds to gain back 2. But as long as I'm always going downward, it really doesn't matter.

Go outside and take a brisk walk around the block. Get some natural vitamin D and watch all the little neighborhood kiddies look for their Easter Eggs. It'll make you feel better.

Weekends are harder for me too. I never snack during the week, but I snack all weekend long. Granted my snacks are low carb snacks, but I still end up pushing my carb boundries. I pushed them a lot yesterday and ended up being up 2 pounds this morning.
