no carb salad dressings?

I was snooping on Netrition to see what I wanted next and found the no carb ranch salad dressing. Is it good?

I did not enjoy the Walden Farms ranch dressing, but I LOVE their BBQ sauce.

why don't you get the powdered HIDDEN VALLEY ranch mix then add your mayo and a little HWC. That is what I do . But check your bottled dressings too , there are some you can buy in the regular grocers that only have 1 - 0 carbs per serving . I make my own blue cheese dressing also, lemon jc and olive oil. I know the lemon jc has some carbs , but it didn't sabotage me.

Walden farms ranch is not the best- most of any normally vinegar based dressing are much better. I love their basalmic vinaigrette and honey mustard. Also I use their BBQ and ketchup as dressing also depending on what meat is on my salad.

I haven't heard of this brand before. Are there specific stores that carry this?

I would have to agree that Walden Farms is hit and miss. I have found I like the brand "boathouse" for blue cheese. But tend to make my own...then I know what is in it.

Check the organic section or the specialty part of the market. I get mine locally at Sprouts Farmers Market store. I don't know where you live, but check all over the store and not just the salad dressing aisle. I go to the part that sells the fancy stuff and find it there. And online...

If you are shopping on Netrition, pick up a bottle of Coconut Vinegar and NuNaturals Clear Liquid Stevia......then make your own dressing. 1 part vinegar, 1 part olive oil, 5-7 drops stevia.

Thanks for the infor. Let me ask how much do you normally make at one?

1 pt vinegar = how much?

Sorry, I never make my own dressing, but this sounds good and easy.

Thanks,

Anna

I like oil and vinegar... To many odd chemicals in Walden farms. It's like some 12th grade science experiment gone bad...
And making or own Caesar is so easy!

Yep, and I get these weird hot flashes after eating anything by Walden Farms. It has a funny taste too unless you mix it with something else.

I was out of salad dressing one day and improvised.
I just mixed a little vinegar in mayo, salt and petter to taste.
I find I like this as much as any store bought dressing.

I like alot of the favors of walden and they are available In the diabetic section of my Fred Meyers/krogers. I don't think they have too many chemicals they are thickened with xanathan gum and are vinegar based.

My absolute favourite dressing is Ken's Northern Italian Lite. It comes in at 1 gram carb for an ounce. I often find it on sale and stock up when I do.

one part vinegar/one part oil can be any measuring tool you use to measure it....one tablespoon or one cup. It's just equal portions of the oil and vinegar. You can use whatever you want to measure the portions this way.

I dont like any walden farm's stuff yuck. I make my own with the package ranch. I also just mix MCT oil with flavored vinegar and dry mix of napa herbs really like this and takes less than a minute to mix up.

You might want to check the ingredient list, I think its a frankenfood...however, they do make great syrups, I disregard the phony ingredients when I am having my lc pancakes and french toast!

I've tried walden and find they taste a bit chemical. Not sure if Renee is available in your area but they are wonderful. Very rich and creamy full of flavor and zero carbs. I have the ranch or ceasar twice a day. Here's the link
