every time i go off my plan of low carb eating for just one day my hands swell and my tummy hurts, you would think i would learn a lesson I go back on and i have no problems at all, none. ugh! I guess it is my brain and carb addiction. I am buckling down!!!

My hands were swollen for years until I started LC---I thought I would never be able to wear my wedding ring or engagment ring again---considered selling them...
..after 2 weeks of lc---they fit. It's so weird how our bodies hold onto water when we eat carbs. You can do it, one meal at a time. That's what I say to myself. Best of Luck to you. |

I had an interesting thought reading this:
I once saw Grace Slick say, in connection with her alcoholism, that the point where one really becomes an alcoholic is when the alcohol ceases being a friend and becomes an enemy, but you have to drink anyway... maybe we are like that as carboholics too! for sure they are my enemy, but they still sing their seductive song, don't they? |
