I don't know how to respond to this coming from you A.P. You have consistently lost and most recently got to a new low - so how is it that you are 'eating too much'?

i have a big problem with eating too much. I don't cheat with off plan foods but portion control is a problem. I've lost 55 lbs in 10 months, but it could have been 75 if I would only eat when hungry.

I'm not happy with my habits. I work out excessively...almost unhealthy....to offset. I eat in the middle of the night when not even hungry....bad,bad,bad!

I definitely struggle with this...
If I avoid eating the LC stuff then it becomes craving and I eat whatever is there (hence weight gain) trying to figure out how to deal with this everyday... |

I have a big appetite and I hate it. I can even overeat on healthy foods. So I am always monitoring myself.

Is it possible that the 'overeating' is actually your bodies' defense from further weight loss? You would know best...

I don't overeat on this diet. The satiety is amazing. About 1800 calories is my average day. I was much hungier and eating more when not dieting and just eating whatever.

Dr. Stephen Phinney says fat intake (as in MORE fat) becomes even more crucial in maintenance. Try upping your fat to see if you are more satisfied.

Oh man, if you had seen my food diary from yesterday and today, overeaters central! Luckily I refuse to cheat and have been trying to cut back on the nuts so it's all legal but I feel like such a pig! I did lose 4lbs so far (I'm on day 4) so I don't feel too bad.

I over eat a lot! I do think it's odd we all have this prob considering Atkins is supposed to decrease the appetit. Unfortunately ketosis never did this for me

I love food, and overeat also. I know if I'd cut the portions it would help. But I don't do it.

I do struggle with wanting to consume more than I need. I'm in control now with the help of Atkins. I don't consume off plan. From time to time I do consume more carbs at a meal only once per day like for a holiday or birthday with no ill effects like high blood glucose, cravings, or weight gain. I have learned I like the more I exercise the more I can eat.

I really need very little food to fill me up, but to satisfy my appetite is a different story. I can overeat anything and always have to keep an eye on myself.

Sometimes I eat...just because. I truly believe a lot of it has to do with me just being "bored". I can nearly go all day without thinking about food when I am busy at work, yet when I am at home with the kids...I eat.

It is so weird because I go from one extreme to the other. For weeks I will struggle to get in 700-900 calories and then for weeks struggle to stay below 1,600. Always on plan but I would like to keep things more consistent as far as quantity.

I'm with ya but, since my body seems to be getting just what it needs, I don't stress it! *munch, munch*

I do excessive cardio supplemented by some strength which causes me to feel like I am in a state of starvation at all times! I can eat a nice heavy breakfast with meat, eggs, and fat & spinach and still be ready to gnaw my arm off 2 hours later; it's very distracting at the office. The ONLY way I can keep it under control is by counting calories. My weight fluctuates when I overdo it, but generally I'm burning the calories. Last edited by maria40nc; 01-05-2012 at 01:40 AM.. |
