Went off plan for a whole day... yikes

So I went to the Packers/Vikings game yesterday (GO PACK!) with the intention of staying mostly on plan, maybe a hot dog sans bun and one light beer at the game....

But my brother in law steered us towards The Old Spaghetti Factory. I'm sure there was something I could have had, but all I saw was noodles! I had probably the worst choice ever, spaghetti with Parmesan and butter (no protein) and a strawberry peach margarita. Yikes! Then at the game beer after beer after nachos...and... yeah

But I got on the scale today and was happy to see I had only gained 2 lbs. That's not too bad. I am back on plan today and am actually happy that I feel so crappy so hopefully I don't let it happen again.

I am just sad I had no self control to say, Hey, how about we go somewhere else?? I had started the day with a good breakfast and wonder if I had a good lunch if I wouldn't have ruined the whole day...... oh well

If this is a Lifestyle thing for you, see this as a day you went off plan and move on. The more you beat yourself up, the more you will turn to food for comfort. Dust off those noodles and stay on plan today! Keep moving on!

It's okay! It happens! Sometimes we go off plan... but the good thing is you're right back on today! No worries!

It's only a problem if you keep on staying off plan... and one day because 2 and then a week and then a month, etc.

You're doing great!

I agree with the other answers. Look at this as a day off plan and not a reason to give up. I bet if you get right back to better eating, the 2 pounds (and more) will come off.

this is why i consider my WOE a lifestyle change so when i decide to eat something of the higher carb nature i want feel bad. for example last night i went to see "Paranormal Activity 3" during the movie i ate Fish & chips with a molten chocolate cake with ice cream! it was fabulous plus i can treat myself every now and then. i feel fine and no guilt. try to embrace these type of things. telling yourself you will never ever do it again will only make the guilt worst if you mess up again. just calm and keep it moving on your plan. i have had many off plan days, im still 40lbs lighter within 4 months

THIS! A WOE should not have any guilt involved whatsoever! Guilt is a four letter word in my book!
